Everything went quiet and I opened my eyes, I was lying in the snow covered in blood, I couldn't remember anything that even happened. I sat up trying to get my surroundings, looking down at my hands I blinked and wiped the blood on my shirt.
My legs trembled as I stood on my feet, I shook off the snow on my pants as my eyes raised, setting on figures in the distance, seeming to be coming towards me.
"Hello?" I called out.
"Hello!" A couple of voices called out at the same time.
"Can you help me? Where am I?" I asked as they came closer and I could read them, just like I had done with Linzy. As soon as I remembered, it all flashed back to me, I killed all those intruders.
"-gan," The young female said, "Hey you okay?" She asked, snapping me back into reality.
"Yes of course," I answered, the young female was named Aletia and the male with her was named Phoenix. "Can you repeat what you said?" I asked.
"You're in Michigan," Phoenix answered me.
"Michigan How-" I cut myself off, "I see, thank you." I held out my hand, "My name is Artemis."
"I'm Aletia, or just Tia, and this is my boyfriend Phoenix, or just Nix," Tia said grabbing my hand and shaking it tightly.
"Pleasure to meet you, Tia," I say as I let go of her hand, I look over at the male who is glaring at me with his amber-brown eyes, he gritted his teeth as he reached out his darker skin-toned hand out to me.
"Pleasure," He growled out.
I softly took his hand into mine and I felt him grip my hand with aggression, as he touched my hand I could tell something was wrong with him.
"So, do either of you know where the closest military base is?" I asked.
Tia smiled as she chirped, "Yeah, we were planning on going there, trying to get away from the..."
"Tia." Nix interrupted.
She stopped, "Right...We can show you." She cleared her throat and looked down at her feet momentarily.
"Do please," I stated as I moved out of the way. Tia smiled softly as she grabbed Nix's hand, leading him in front of me.
Nix had looked over his shoulder at me, "Tia, I really don't think it's a good idea to bring him with us. We don't even know him!" Nix growled as he glared at me.
