"YOU!" Rosa's high-pitched scream filled the large auditorium as I sauntered over to the entrance where she was being blocked. "WHAT DID YOU SAY TO THE APE KING?! YOU-YOU-FOX!"
"I'm pleased you know what clan I'm from, but I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean." I replied in a calm manner. Far be it from I to prevent her from incriminating herself. Do go on.
She pushed and tugged at the wolf soldiers in frustration but her mates quickly drew her back into their arms in an attempt to comfort the manic female. "How did you find out!? It wasn't supposed to be this way. They said they would help me! Why did they lie?!" When her mates refused to let her go so she could push past them, she collapsed to her knees and began to wail.
I looked at her crocodile tears and her pathetic form and put a flabbergasted mask on, "Rosa. I have no idea what you are talking about. You really should calm down."
No one likes to be told to calm down. Especially not narcissistic angry princesses.
"Die!" she screamed at me and lunged forward, going nowhere due to her mates' strong arms. "What are you doing! Kill her!" Her mates struggled to get her to see reason and to control herself but Rosa had never had to do that before in her life. She had always been given everything she could ever want, thereby stunting her mental and emotional growth to resemble a toddler.
The other hundred or so females in the room gasped at her tantrum and her violent words. Their mates looked on with a mix of scorn and even a few with gratified faces. I wasn't the only female in this city that the Tiger Princess had ridiculed in the past.
I looked at the princess with genuine pity. She had never learned restraint nor had she ever truly needed to use her wits. And soon she would be paying the price for not having developed either on her own.
Her demands for my death drew the attention of the males next door and soon, all visitors of the castle were collecting their mates and their seeds to make a hasty exit before things got worse. Nothing good could come from angered tiger royalty.
Winston also made his way to me, growling at any that blocked his path. He immediately picked me up in his arms and held me defensively. "What do you think you are doing. Take Rosa out of here now!" He let his beast pressure beat against Rosa, her mates and the wolf guards. They all flinched at his power and intimidating aura.
The Ape King's voice came from behind another group of tall wolves. "Do as he says. Take your female back to her castle and keep her there until I have spoken with the Tiger King about what happened. This is the second time you have caused a scene at my castle Rosa. There will not be a third."
Between Winston's ire and the Ape King's orders, her mates had no choice but to pick up their still frantic female and carry her back home as she slammed her tiny fists on their muscled backs. Once she was gone, any who had remained to watch the show dispersed. Including myself and my tiger defender. We were not hindered and I did not die. Today was a good day.

After his conversation with the cunning fox, the Ape King had pondered his options and found them to be few. He had planned on using Rosa to be rid of her, the Tiger King, Winston and the mysterious snake feral the fox female had brought into his city. But somehow, she had been one step ahead. It was as though she could see through both Rosa's and his own plans. It was disconcerting, but a small part of him was exhilarated to have met someone with such high intellect among beasts. He knew it was that same terrifyingly astute mind that turned his deadly tree to ash. Intrigued by her plan and more than a little fearful of the consequences of going against her, the Ape King had decided it best to do as he was tasked. For now.
He allowed Rosa to witness her plan unravel stitch by stitch and to seek out the fox in her blind rage. The fool did as he expected and implicated herself. With so many witnesses, it would be a simple thing to convince the city of her poor character and concoct a story of vengeful scheming that would give validation to his call for exile.
What he hadn't expected was just how much support the fox female had garnered from the masses in the few minutes before Rosa had even arrived.
Those who had heard the fox female speak about her opinions towards mating practices and her words of affection for all of her mates, became at once both jealous of her them and defensive of her safety. She was thoughtful and realistic, taking into account how hard males work to be favored. A female who thought like that was to be treasured. They hoped for her to stay in the city a long time and then maybe her philosophies would rub off on their own females.
Many of the single wolves and apes who had also listened in to the lecture the fox had given then black haired beauty had later viewed Rosa's antics with either disinterest or disgust. Some knew only that a couple hours before, their orders were to allow single, male tigers entry to the castle and to not impede their actions. But then those orders were rescinded and all such males were promptly removed from the premises. When the Tiger Princess found herself without her entourage of admirers, she had demanded to see the Ape King. They of course refused her as he was busy. When a female tiger had been escorted from the auditorium for having sought out the fox female, the Tiger Princess lost all semblance of regality. And none felt regret over it.
