Caspar's POV
Everything was swirling. I couldn't see straight and I couldn't even get up on my feet. I could only lie there and hope is be able to function soon.
Lacy had tried to take me through the portal but I managed to shake her off. When she went through she blasted me back and I fell into this weird ditch thing.
"Caspar," a voice whispered.
"Who's there?" I asked, trying to get up to see.
"Why, you don't remember your own ex?" The voice said, humor and bitterness laced into the words.
I narrowed my eyes. "Ex?"
Then she came into view, her light brown hair cut short, in a flowing dress and a cloak, her eyes piercing into my soul.
"Why sweet darling, you didn't expect me to actually stay with you? You are despicable and evil," she said, leaning down and stroking my face.
"Luna... what are you talking about?"
"You should know. You tried to kill me. You killed my brother. Or at least tried to." She bent down and sat, straddling my hips.
"Luna I didn't kill your brother... remember? Lacy did. It was an accident, or at least that's what she said."
She frowned, and narrowed her eyes in confusion.
"Lacy... but..." She suddenly let out a cry and grabbed her head.
"Luna? Luna what's wrong?"
She raised her head ever so slightly, and looked at me. Something had changed. Her eyes were clearer now, and we're filling with tears.
"C-Cas? I don't... oh my gods. Marina. You. The Commander. Toby. I..." She scrambled back, against the fence and looked absolutely terrified. "Cas. It's Lacy. She tortured me and... altered my memories. She's been torturing Marina... well no.. I have. Toby as well. I'm so sorry I didn't.... I didn't know."
I smiled, managing to scoot over to her.
"It's all right. You weren't yourself. It was Lacy. Don't worry. We will get you safe, and Marina and Toby." I leaned forward and kissed her softly, reassuring her it would be alright.
I could feel her tears and I wiped them away.
"C-Caspar I don't... I'm scared," she said as she hugged me tightly.
"I know. I know. It's alright. Everything will be fine." I stroked her hair and her back, occasionally kissing her cheek.
"Caspa- oh," she said, doubling over again.
"Luna?"
"Cas get out of here. She's coming back... The other Luna... just go. GO!"
I kissed her on the cheek once more and got up.
"Tell the others what happened. Caspar I'm sorry for what I've done and what I will do. Go!"
I ran onto the road and glanced at her. She was now standing and grinning wickedly, then winked at me.
I bolted, tearing down the road with hot tears streaming down my face.
