3rd person POV
Marina glanced around the room and saw all of the terrified faces of her friends. First was Luna. Despite her haircut and red lipstick, it appeared as though she was back to normal. She eyed the wall warily and growled, and I mean GROWLED at Lacey, who smiled. Everest stood in chains on the other side of Luna. Her eyes were closed and I could see her claws coming out, scratching at the metal, but not daring to touch the wall. She was trying her hardest not to wolf out completely. Then was Calum, who was completely passed out. Of course he's gonna miss everything. Following Asleep Calum was Caspar. His threatening multicolored eyes scanned the room, looking for escape. It had been a while since Marina had seen Caspar, and she was glad he was alright. Toby hung against the wall next to Caspar. He was looking right at Marina. Marina then blushed and looked down. She didn't have time for Toby's golden irises. Tessa was next, and she was closing her eyes and muttering. Tessa attempted to cast a spell or two, but it seems as though Lacey had magicproofed the place. And finally we came full circle to The Commander. Only The Commander hung lifeless, and appeared to be dead for a while, like since Marina, Everest, Luna, Lacey, and Caspar set off for Texas.
Marina shuddered and tried not to look at the leather eyepatch of her friend. Lacey seemed to be talking to a plate with blood in it. Marina didn't recognize the plate, but Luna sure as hell did. That plate was a way to communicate with the demons in hell. At least, that's what Luna had learned back in Assasin's Academy. It was supposed to be a myth.
Caspar was the closest to Lacey. He heard her whisper to the plate clearly.
"Master, I have them all. What should I do now?" there was a pause. "But wouldn't it be easier to make it quick." another pause. "N-no, sir. I wasn't being disrespectful. I'll get to it right away."
"Alright, annoying little bastards, I've received word that I now have to torture you for information." Lacey announced. Luna narrowed her eyes at her. After all, this bitch is the reason why Luna almost killed Caspar.
"What information do we have?" Luna asked.
"You have information on him." Lacey said and pointed at Calum, who was now drooling.
"Calum? But he's nothing, an average human." Casper said, his drawling English accent echoing across the room.
"Don't be an idiot, brother. Calum is the key to all of this. He always has been. Why do you think Luna was assigned to kill him? Because he's a douche?" Lacey laughed.
"So I was ordered to kill him before he could get in the hands of you." Luna said, and now everything made sense.
"Not just me. Lemlas." Lacey explained.
"Lemlas as in the poison that you put on your knife before stabbing me?" Everest asked, angrily. Her ears began looking wolf-life and her eyes were yellow.
"Yes, idiot. This whole thing was planned. You think Calum just happened to show up at that exact moment before our car came and picked him up. I was ordered to bring you all there after Lemlas kidnapped Calum and erased his mind of anything supernatural related. Then he was sent to us." Lacey said.
"You needed me to trust him, so that I wouldn't kill him when the due date came." Luna said, working the plan out.
"And that's why he couldn't remember anything." Marina added.
"Its also why he stopped liking you. He knew what you were, and he needed that protection. So he became your boyfriend. When his mind was erased, he forgot about everything, so his feelings towards you were gone." Lacey said to Marina, who's jaw dropped.
"He needed protection from a psychic?" Luna asked suspiciously.
"No, he needed protection from a faerie." Toby said. He knew perfectly well what Marina was after seeing those purple eyes.
