Everest's POV
All hell broke loose. As soon as Lacy said "dear brother" I started to Change. I saw Calum back behind me, and for some reason I had a sudden urge to protect the guy. Sure, he was a pervert, but he hadn't done anything wrong really, other than being a douche.
Caspar flipped out a knife from his sleeve and expertly stepped forward towards Lacy. She snapped her fingers and minions, like the ones we saw in Texas, came rushing out from behind her.
Caspar and I had an unspoken agreement. He took on Lacy while the minions were my fight.
My vision turned red, and I saw everything almost like I was in a fourth dimension. This was the first time I had used my werewolf senses for fighting, and everything happened so fast.
Every movement around me was a blur, but somehow I saw everything. There were 4 guys, medium build, and they looked human.
As one came at me, I blocked his attack and grabbed his arm, throwing him to the floor. Definitely a dislocated shoulder, though I know I almost ripped his arm out of his socket.
The next guy came at me and I rolled underneath him, popping up behind him. He did a backflip, but somehow, in midair, I grabbed his feet and threw him against a wall.
The next two guys ran up to me and I smiled. I could get used to this. I got down on all fours and launched myself at them. On top of them, I sunk my claws into their skin. Quickly, I got up and kicked their heads against the floor to knock them out. I surveyed the damage and saw Calum whimpering under a table.
As I walked to knock the other guys out, I saw a vital piece missing from the room. Caspar and Lacy. She must have taken him. Now he, like Toby, Luna, and Marina, was gone. I howled in anger, despair, and frustration.
I Changed back and came up to the other guys. Grimacing, I kicked their heads, maybe a bit too hard. We would need them, all of them, for interrogation. But who's we? Me, a guy I hate and has no advantages in a fight, and a werewolf I just met who was gone on a mysterious tampon run.
How could we fight Lacy, who had kidnapped over half of us, and not even necessarily the weakest ones.
I glared at Calum, dreading the things he had planned for a night alone with me in the house. Shit. My mom. I couldn't leave Calum, or the bodies alone. And we couldn't leave Tessa alone because we had to stick together.
"Okay. This is looking pretty dangerous, and you can't do anything in a fight. You're not a part of this, and you don't have to be. If you want to leave, you can and I completely understand. If you want to stay, they you have to come with me to find my mom. Right now I have to call Tessa," I told Calum. He nodded and walked with me to get my phone.
