I arrived at Soda's house, I got out and walked in. I saw Ponyboy and Johnny on the couch.
"Hey guys."
"Hey." They both said. Then Soda walked in dressed in nice jeans and a red flannel shirt. I love the way Soda has movie star good looks, he looks good in anything. He walked over to me and snaked his arms around my waist and kissed my jawline.
"Hey beautiful. You ready to go."
He said in between kissing my jawline. Which I really liked it was different.
"Yeah I am, you can drive." I said handing him Buck's keys.
"Alright." We walked out the door, Soda opened my door for me. I'm glad that I have Soda, he's such a gentleman.
I hope that our relationship lasts forever and nothing ever comes between us. After I got in Soda got in and started the car.
"Where we going?" I asked.
"It's a surprise baby,but first to the dingo. I'm paying no exceptions."
"Okay." I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere trying to figure out the suprise. I wanted to hold Soda's hand but I decided to let him grab mine.
I had a Beatles song stuck in my head, which was I wanna hold your hand.
I think that should be our song.
"Hey Soda, what do you think about the song I wanna hold your hand?"
"I like it, it makes me think of you."
He said taking my hand in his and kissing it then he held my hand resting it on his lap.
"I think it should be our song."
"I do too Kayla, it fits us." I smiled as we continued to drive to the dingo.
I looked down at our hands laced together. I had the best feeling in the world right now. I have the best boyfriend in the world he's sweet, kind, generous, loving, caring and loyal. Sandy must have been out of her mind to cheat on him. I'm just glad she is away from him, she can't hurt him anymore and if she comes near him I'll beat the shit out of her. An I won't think twice before doing it either. I could honestly care less what happens to her. All I want is to be happy with Soda and that's exactly how it is. We arrived at the dingo Soda turned the ignition off and stepped out of the car, placing the keys in his pocket. Then he walked around to my side to open my door.
When I stepped out he put his arm around me and walked me to the door, then opened it for me.
We walked in and orderd the cheeseburger special, we talked over dinner. I think we mostly talked about how glad we are to have each other and how happy we are to be with each other. After we were finished eating Soda paid the bill and we headed back to the car.An once again he opened the door for me, he's the sweetest boyfriend ever any girl would be lucky to have him. I always liked Soda since the day I first met him, which was last summer but he had a girlfriend, and I was only visiting for the summer. If Soda hadn't been dating Sandy last summer I can't say that things would have been different. I didn't want just a summer love with Soda. I really like him and I still do. Soda was driving and I had no clue where he was taking me because he wouldn't tell me. After about thirty minutes of driving we came to a clearing in the woods. It was pitch black by now, Soda parked the car and turned the ignition off. I raised the middle seat up and laid my head in his lap, he played with my hair and whispered sweet things to me. I looked up at him and smiled.
"I'm glad I'm here with you Soda."
"I'm glad too. I'm glad your my girlfriend." I smiled.
"I'm glad I'm your girlfriend too."
I said smiling. Soda continued playing with my hair until I leaned up and sat in his lap. In looked him in the eyes and he dis the same. I glanced down at his lips then back up to his eyes.
Then just at the right moment he crashed his lips to mine, I smiled into the kiss. He licked my lips asking for entrance, I opened my mouth allowing him in. It doesn't surprise me that Soda is a good kisser, but that's a good thing. I leaned into Soda making the kiss deeper. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer. He slid his hands in my shirt and caressed my back. If we didn't have to breath this could last forever. We both pulled away at the same time breathless.
"That...was... a..mazing." he said between breaths.
"It was. I loved every minute."
"I love you."
"You what?"
"I said I love you, I'm sorry Kay it just came out of my mouth before I could stop it."
"It's okay. It just means your sincere about it. I love you too." Then he gave me a quick kiss on the lips. I sat there in his lap with his arms wrapped tightly around my waist.
"It's so beautiful tonight." I said looking up at the stars.
"Yeah, but none of the stars in the sky can compare to how beautiful you are."
"Awh babe that's sweet." I thought it was kind of cheesy but it was sweet.
"Like I said I love you Kayla. Your my princess. I'll always love you."
"I love you too. An you shall be my prince."
"I'm glad. I hate to ruin the moment but it's getting late and we should head back."
"Yeah, let's go to your house. Can I bunk there for the night? Buck is having some wild party and I won't be able to sleep."
"Of course. I'll see if we can get the bed. We're not gonna do anything though I just gotta convince Darry."
"Okay." Then we headed to his house.
I sat in the middle next to Soda. He had one arm wrapped around me.
I laid my head on his chest and wished this moment could last forever. I hope that our relationship can stay this way. I really do love Soda. I guess it's because we already knew each other and then dating was the icing on the cake. When we kissed for the first time I thought I loved him, but the way we kissed tonight I know I love him. An there isn't a doubt in my mind. I can honestly see myself falling in love with Soda.We arrived at the house, Soda handed me the keys then he got out and opened my door for me. I smiled once again I'm so lucky to have him. We walked inside and saw Darry sitting in his chair reading the paper.
"Hey is it alright if Kayla spends the night here, Buck is having a party."
"Yeah it's fine, but I don't want no funny business. Pony can sleep with me and y'all can share but no funny business.
I don't want neices and nephews just yet."
"Alright fair enough. I don't think that will happen anytime soon if it does we will use protection."
"That's smart. Get some sleep. See you in the morning." We both nodded.
"Goodnight." We both said.
Then we needed to his to that he shares with Pony.
"Here you can change into that so you'll be more comfortable. I'll be back in a minute." He said tossing me a white t shirt and then leaving the room.
I quickly changed and it was like a short dress on me. I really want to keep this shirt. I'll have to ask him though.
I can sleep in his instead of Dally's.
I was lost in my thoughts and I didn't realize I was standing in the middle of the room until Soda came behind me and picked me up. Then he carried me to bed and climbed in beside me.
I turned to face him, he kissed me softly.
"Goodnight beautiful."
"Goodnight." I laid my head on his chest,an he wrapped his arms around my waist. I couldn't help but love this feeling. I wished that it could last forever, an never change. I love Soda and all I can do is hope, but I know that Nothing gold can stay.
