Kayla's pov
I walked into the Curtis house after we all got back from the race, Jessica was acting really jumpy and excited.
I saw her walking towards Darry what could she possibly want with him.
"Darry Can I borrow a hoodie of yours?" What the hell she can't wear his clothes. He looked at her strangely.
"Uhmm sure, it's in the chair."
So Jessica walks over and gets the hoodie, then she puts her legs through the arms of the hoodie and pulls it over her head. Then she starts jumping around the room like a frog.
"Kayla get a jacket and join me it's fun."
"Uhh okay." I get a hoodie from Darry's room then walk into the living room and join Jessica. We're just jumping around having fun them we hear the guys come in and it's not just Steve and Soda it's the whole gang, including Dallas Winston. I couldn't stop laughing at my self and Jess I don't think she could either. I think the guys we're laughing too. I don't know what this looks like to them but it must be pretty funny cause even Darry is laughing. An he's always so serious but it's good that he is actually laughing even though it's at us. I'm okay with that though. I can't see where Jessica is though I think she's beside me. I could hear her laughing but I couldn't see hee because I can't stand up all the way. So I hope we don't bump into each other, just as I thought that our heads bashed together and we fell to the floor. I was still laughing at us, even though that really hurt. I was struggling to get up but I looked like a pig rolling around in the mud and I'm sure Jessica did too. I hope Steve will at least help me up but no he's too busy laughing at me which I can't blame him. It was pretty funny, but finally he said something and so did Soda except he was with Jess.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Can you help me up?"
"Sure." He picked me up and I stepped out of the hoodie and put it back in Darry's room. I walked back into the living room to see that Jessica had taken it off too.
"Who wants to play truth or dare?"
Darry asked.
"Me!" Everyone shouted. So we all gathered around the floor in a circle, except for Darry he joined last he put a bottle in the middle. Alright who's first?"
"Well ladies go first." Steve said who was sitting next to me. Then it was Soda and Kayla, Dallas,Johnny, Two-Bit,Ponyboy and then Darry.
"I'll go." I said. I spun the bottle and it landed on Darry. This will be fun I hope he picks dare.
"I pick dare."
"Alright Super Dope. I dare you to strip but naked and run down the street yelling I am Super Dope."
I knew he would never chicken out of a dare so he gave me a death glare but did it anyway then he put his clothes back on and the game was back on. Jessica went next and of course it landed on Soda, so she got lucky.
I figured he would dare her to kiss him and he did so she kissed him, I wish it would land on me so I could kiss Steve. Now it was Johnny's turn he spun the bottle and it landed on me.
"Truth or dare Kayla."
"Truth"
"Is it true that you hate Dally?"
"No, I just don't like his ways." Then it was Two-Bit's turn. It was spinning for what seemed like forever, then finally it landed on me again.
"Truth or dare."
"Dare."
"Alright I dare you to kiss Dally."
"WHAT! I'm dating Steve no."
"A dare is a dare Kayla. I trust you, an I know you love me so go ahead just kiss me first." I leaned over and kissed him softly. Then I went over to Dallas and pressed my lips against his, I could still feel the spark that has always been there. I missed the feeling of having his lips against mine. I felt his tongue tracing my lips I allowed him entrance and he deepened the kiss. I ran my fingers through his thick hair. I loved the feeling of having his lips against mine. I finally snapped into reality and realized who I'm in love with.
Then I pulled away and went and sat next to Steve. I burried my face in his chest and he put his arms around me and held me close. It was Dally's turn but I wasn't paying any attention anymore I was day dreaming about the kiss that we had just shared.
I guess I had been out of it a while cause they skipped me and it was Two-Bits turn.
"KAYLA!" Two-Bit shouted.
"WHAT!"
"It landed on you so truth or dare."
"Truth."
"Who did you loose your virginty to?"
I looked around the room and I knew the answer just as well as the one I lost it to did. When our our eyes met I saw hurt in his eyes for once in his life it wasn't what it usually is.
"Who is it baby you can tell us, is it Soda." Steve said.
"N-no. It's it's uhmm it's Dally, it happened when I was fifteen and we lived in New York he spent the night at my house." I looked over at Dallas who looked really sad like he wanted to say something but didn't know how. I've never seen him like this before and I'm sure the gang hasn't either, this is a different side of Dally.
"I have to admit something to Kayla."
"Okay shoot."
"You were my first too, I'm sorry for how everything turned out. I'll always be your first kiss, your first boyfriend and your first time. An you'll always be mine. I'll always remember that."
"Yeah me too, Steve you wanna head to Buck's with me. I need to get out of here."
"Sure baby let's go." I got up along with Steve and he entwined our hands together. I handed Steve my car keys since I didn't want to drive I let him drive, he opened the door for me then he got in the drivers side.
Then we headed off to Buck's place, Steve drove with one hand and held mine with the other.
"Will you stay the night with me Steve?"
"Sure baby, with you come to work with me tomorrow?"
"Yeah, if I can have a job."
"I'll talk to the manager and see if you can run the front while Soda and I run the back."
"Maybe Jess could help too."
"Maybe." Then he pulled into Buck's place and he let me out. Then took my hand and walked inside with me.
I knew there would be a party going on, I live in a bar so that's always happening it's nothing new to me. I'm totally used to it by now.
"You wanna hang around here or get away from this?" I asked him over the loud music.
"Let's go to your room, it'll be a little quieter up there and we can talk."
"Alright let me find Buck so he knows I'm home." Steve nodded and walked beside me still holding my hand.
I found Buck sitting at the bar as usual. I was surprised to see him not drunk.
"I'm home I'll be upstairs."
"Is this your new boyfriend?"
"Yeah, Dallas cheated on me and me and Steve just sort of happened I'll explain later."
"Alright. We can talk about whatever you needed to talk about when I close the bar in about two hours. Grab you and Steve a beer and head upstairs or join the party."
I nodded and got me and Steve a beer then I headed upstairs.
I opened the beer bottles on the edge if my window sill, then I sit down on the bed beside Steve who was leaned against the wall. I handed him his beer and he wrapped his around me and whispered sweet things in my ear. I listened while I thought about what I need to tell Buck. I just don't know how to tell him because I know how he's going to take it and he isn't going to take it lightly. It isn't hard talking to Buck but it isn't easy when I know how he is going to take it and he won't be happy with what I have to tell him and I know he will do anything to protect me. I know Steve will too an so will the rest of the gang. I'm glad that Steve will be right by my side when I tell Buck what's going on. I'm so lucky to have Steve and I'm glad I fell in love with an amazing guy like him.
I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend.
