Song: Chasing pavements by Adele
I've made up my mind
Don't need to think it over
If I'm wrong, I am right
Don't need to look no further
This ain't lust
I know this is love, butIf I tell the world
I'll never say enough
'Cause it was not said to you
And that's exactly what I need to do
If I end up with youShould I give up?
Or should I just keep chasing pavements?
Even if it leads nowhere
Or would it be a waste?
Even If I knew my place, should I leave it there?
Should I give up?
Or should I just keep chasing pavements?
Even if it leads nowhereI build myself up
And fly around in circles
Waiting as my heart drops
And my back begins to tingle
Finally, could this be it, or?Should I give up?
Or should I just keep chasing pavements?
Even if it leads nowhere
Or would it be a waste?
Even if I knew my place, should I leave it there?
Should I give up?
Or should I just keep chasing pavements?
Even if it leads nowhere, yeah***
Sanem was beside herself with anger and hurt. Can had dumped her in a fit of rage; he'd accosted her in a night club when she was dancing with her childhood friend; then started sending her apology letters and love poems to try and reconcile. She'd just sat through a torturous meeting watching a female client shamelessly flirting with him and now he had invited her to lunch with the same woman? To what end? What did he think? That she would jump at the invitation and come along? What stupid game was he playing?
"What the heck, Meryem?" Sanem yanked her arm out of Meryem's grasp once they stepped out of the Fikri Harika lobby and turned to glare at her friend. She loved Meryem but right now, Sanem was ready to strangle her. How dare Meryem accept an invitation from Can without consulting her first? She had been hurt enough by him already and she did not want to be in the same room with him, let alone have lunch with him and the woman who had been flirting with him.
"What were you thinking? You can go if you want to but I'm not going anywhere with Can and that...that..." She trailed off, unable to bring herself to say Ceyda's name.
"Predator? Cougar? Witch? Seductress? Vixen? Who cares what she is? It's not her we're interested in really, is it?" She said, trying to make Sanem see the bigger picture.
"You shouldn't have accepted his invitation. I don't want to be anywhere near that man!"
Meryem put her hands up in surrender. " Sakin ol! Look, I know you're upset. But think about it this way: if you go to lunch with Can and Ceyda, you can finally get answers to those questions that have been niggling you, perhaps even some closure. You can see for yourself whether or not there's anything going on between them and you can finally move on. It'll be a win-win situation for you."
