Song: Someone you loved by Lewis Capaldi (lyrics)
I'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to save me
This all or nothing really got a way of driving me crazy
I need somebody to heal
Somebody to know
Somebody to have
Somebody to hold
It's easy to say
But it's never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you numbed all the painNow the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you lovedI'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to turn to
This all or nothing way of loving got me sleeping without you
Now, I need somebody to know
Somebody to heal
Somebody to have
Just to know how it feels
It's easy to say but it's never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you helped me escapeNow the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you lovedAnd I tend to close my eyes when it hurts sometimes
I fall into your arms
I'll be safe in your sound 'til I come back aroundFor now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you lovedBut now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you lovedI let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved**********************************************************************************
Unblinking, he watched her walk away. Even if he wanted to, he couldn't bring himself to look away. His heart screamed at him to go after her, but his legs were rooted to the spot. A mist of confusion insinuated itself into his head, swirling around in tendrils which soon billowed into a thick, dark plume, choking, suffocating, smothering him.
That night, sleep was an elusive mythical creature. He had a higher chance of finding a rainbow-coloured unicorn than he did of getting any sleep. Tossing and turning, he just couldn't find a comfortable enough position for reprieve from the anguish in sleep. His mind just wouldn't switch off. Though, he wasn't blessed with Sanem's photographic memory, he might as well have been as the scenes replayed over and over again in his mind's eye.
He'd been bored stiff. Parties like this weren't his cup of çay at all. The only reason he'd gone was out of a sense of duty. Fabri had just rescued Fikri Harika from the cusp of bankruptcy by buying his and Emre's shares, and had decided to throw a party for the agency to mark the occasion. Gazing around the ballroom which had been decorated like a Roman palace, complete with naked statues of warriors and cherubs, mini fountains and gilded candelabras, he'd bristled when his brother and Cruela de Vil's evil twin had rocked up like they owned the place. How dare they? How dare Emre show his face at an agency event after his betrayal? It was only Fabri's claim of inviting them that had stopped Can's fist from rearranging his brother's facial features.
Can had been counting the minutes to make his exit without appearing rude. Till she'd walked in. No, glided in. He'd felt like someone had turned up the heat in the room. Admittedly, the heat had little to do with the actual temperature. His eyes had been glued to her.
