Hermione stumbled back a bit, trying to figure out how to explain her being in their son's living room. "Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy. What a pleasure to see you both. You're well?"

"We are, Minister. Thank you." Narcissa gave her a genuine smile while Lucius remained silent.

"Mother, I hardly think this is appropriate for..." He walked into the room in a red polo shirt that showed off his physique quite nicely. He stopped when he saw Hermione though. "Hello Hermione."

Lucius was watching them both closely. He'd had a hunch for a while now, but he was here to finally confirm it and then do something about it. "Draco, I think the shirt looks rather nice on you. Minister Granger, what do you think?"

Hermione was wide eyed. Not only had Lucius Malfoy just encouraged his son to wear a red, muggle made shirt, but he had asked her opinion. "Well, I think it suits him, though not the color."

"I thought you'd like the red, what with you being a Gryffindor." Narcissa frowned in confusion.

"I may be a Gryffindor, but I've never been a big fan of red. On Draco, it washes him out. He's already pale and the red simply makes him look more so though in a sick way. What about a blue or green shirt?" She may not have been asked for her further opinion, but she wanted him to look nice.

"Any specific reason you chose those colors Ms. Granger?"

She looked at Lucius and wondered if this was a test. "Mr. Malfoy, your son is the Slytherin Prince." She gave Draco a look. "I'm not sure anyone will ever be able to take that title away from him, but the blue is because I suspect had he not been in Slytherin, he'd have been in Ravenclaw. He's very intelligent. And while I mean no offense, I think we can all agree there is no way he'd have been placed in Hufflepuff."

"I should hope not, but you make an excellent point. What shade of blue do you think would compliment his skin the best?"

Hermione looked at Draco and tilted her head in thought before pulling out her wand and waving it. The shirt instantly changed from red to a beautiful cobalt blue. "Hm...maybe lighter?"

Narcissa stood and walked over to her son and then around him. "Actually, I think this looks quite nice on him. What a wonderful choice Minister."

Hermione smiled. "Thank you."

"So, Ms. Granger, what brings you here?"

"Oh I have a new project that I need Draco's help with."

Draco then walked over to her and wrapped his arm around her. "And she is my girlfriend, Father."

Hermione tensed beside him. She hadn't planned to tell his parents like this, but Draco seemed only too happy. She looked at him like he was crazy. The actual craziness happened after his announcement. Lucius chuckled. "It's about bloody time."

Hermione frowned with confusion. "I'm sorry?"

"Oh Ms. Granger, I have known for years my son was in love with you. I assumed it was why he initially bullied you, but because of our family views, he continued even though he wished he didn't." He was all smiles. This really confused her.

"So, you're not mad?"

"Of course not. The way he complained about you during breaks was enough to prove to me that you would be good for him. I love my son, but he's a hot head at times and he is too stubborn to admit when he's wrong. You challenge him. You push him to be who he really is. You stop him from getting too complacent. How could I be mad about that?"

Draco chuckled when her mouth dropped. "Told you love. You're stuck with me." He kissed her cheek. "Now, did you get what we needed?"

She shook herself out of her head and nodded. "Yes. Will you both be staying for dinner?"
