- No ! I want to help you, but not this! Let's find another solution.

- Go big sister, please. You know I wouldn't ask you if I could do otherwise.

- Melva, I have very bad memories of my last meeting with him and I don't want to deal with nobles again. Never !

- Tom is surely in danger. If the tables were turned, the gods know I would have come to your aid without you even having had time to ask.

Garuk had finished school at the academy and arrived home. His entrance coincided with the end of the discussion between his mother and his aunt. He saw Melva walk into her room crying and slamming the door on it, which woke up Kamal. He made the mistake of opening his mouth and trying to find out about the situation. He asked his mother what was going on when he was surprised by her abrupt response:

- It doesn't concern you! Besides, I told you to contact the carpenter about the creaking door, did you do it?

- No, I was a little busy these...

- So why are you still standing in front of me? I want this door fixed before the sun goes down! And believe me, you don't want to know your punishment if the door keeps creaking tonight.

Garuk hurriedly put his satchel in his room and went to the carpenter on the corner of the street. He promised 1 krika to the gentleman if he followed him immediately. The gentleman raised the sum to 2 krika and Garuk accepted. The question of what had happened between his aunt and his mother had just cost him half of his savings. Garuk showed the door to the carpenter and the latter began to repair it.

Meanwhile, Lorentz welcomed Makissi back from the academy. He asked her about her day and inquired about her condition. He was bored but he didn't want to go back to the tavern anymore, at least not after the words of the nice lady the day before. However, he wanted to see this lady again. She had aroused his interest and he wanted to see her again but he had no way of getting in touch with her. He was thinking too much about her not to try to see her again tonight. He bet on the fact that she was an activist in view of the speech she had made the day before. He put on one of his coats and asked the driver to take him to the activists' headquarters. Once in front of the sign of the activists he saw their motto: "Not noble, but human and Sifanois". It was the first time he had seen this motto. He already felt guilty for their accusations. But he wasn't going to give up at the entrance to the building. He had already decided and the door was already ajar. He slipped through this exit and saw a crowd captivated by the speech of one man. It was Michel, Mary's colleague. He had just been elected president of the activists and he was in the middle of his inaugural speech.

- Oh my dear brothers, my dear sisters! You see, today is a great day. As our name suggests, our struggle will now be active. We will make ourselves heard, not by violence, but by deed. Most of the people upstairs don't even know they're hurting us. For them the world is like that and they had the chance, even the honor to be on the good side. Even their horses eat better than our children. They are comfortable and we are always wrong. Wrong not to be noble, wrong to be only simple Sifanois. But as of today, I guarantee you things will change. You have my word ! You know what they say here in Sifane. Just as the 10 cities already know...

Then the whole crowd answered in chorus: "Sifane! valiant yesterday, suffering today, proud tomorrow! ". While Michel continued his speech, Lorentz had finally caught sight of the young lady. He was trying to get as close as possible so she could notice him. His efforts had finally paid off. She had noticed it. She motioned for him to join her outside the building. He complied and left the building. She joined him and pulled him by the hand to speak with him in a hallway.

- What the hell are you doing here!?

- Always with as much delicacy as I see.

- No I'm serious. There are people in this building who hate you the most voraciously. You don't have to be there.

- I just wanted to see you again. I regret the circumstances in which we met. I would like to improve the image you have of me.

Surprised, she stared at him first in the eyes, then she pulled out a piece of paper on which was written her address. It was like a business card. She asked him to come by the next day around 10am. She said goodbye to him and hurried back into the room so as not to miss the end of the speech. Lorentz returned to his carriage, staring at this piece of paper with a broad smile. He went home and asked the driver to be ready from 9 am for tomorrow.

Jerel had come home from work and had come to settle down for dinner with his mother. Since the last dinner with Mary, there was tension in the air.

- I saw Mary today.

- Did you go to the sewing workshop?

- As if that weren't enough, she's also a seamstress! But no, I went to her home to apologize.

- How did she take it?

- When were you planning on telling me she had two kids?

- First of all, I don't see how that concerns you. But I would have told you eventually anyway or you would have heard it in your daily gossip at court.

- My son. I know you like her but if you're planning anything with this girl, please stop! The honor of the Fizi family depends on it!

- I love whoever I want.

- You know she's in her crying year.

- If we ever end up starting a relationship I won't...

- Orrhhh! Silence ! I see how you look at her and only the gods know what can happen if you are left for the moment of a minute between 4 walls!

- Enough !

Jerel left the table and went back to his room. His mother was very worried because she feared the serious repercussions that this forbidden love would have on her son and the reputation of their family. She decided to take action and recontact the Duchess of Jutrecky, Caesar's sister.

The young man who was observing Melva during her investigation had gone to Paul's estate. He wanted to speak to Paul's royal messenger. They put him in the servants' quarters to wait for the messenger. The messenger arrived and pulled him by the hand to send him outside.

- What are you doing here ! The fact that we sleep together does not give you the right to land on my place of work!

- Relax! You told me to let you know if I saw anyone snooping around the little driver's house. What I came to do. But I won't say no to...

- Not here damn it. Thanks for your information, keep watching the house. I will contact you again.
