Morak couldn't even sit still because he was so excited to see his friend again. He explained his boring days to her but he appreciated the advantages he had.

- Another time, when I was going to bed, Lidas heard me say that I was hot. Two servants came to blow me. I thought they would be gone once I fell asleep, but they were there when I woke up!

- Woahhh, so classy.

- Yes ! But I didn't do it again, I felt a little bad for them afterwards.

- Yes, I told myself that too.

- Enough talking about me. I saw that you only had eyes for the beautiful Makissi during the banquet, she apparently likes you.

- There you are again, already bothering me.

- Don't act shy. Tell me everything, absolutely everything! I want to know everything.

Garuk began to explain his meetings and conversations with Makissi. The king felt through his friend's voice that he was in love. Garuk was in the middle of his explanations when the guard knocked on the door: "Your Majesty, it's really starting to get late." Morak therefore cut short his conversation with his friend. Before leaving, he invited the Bika family to the next "royal horse race". He then said goodbye to the Bika family and took the road to the palace. His parents had arrived before him. They had noticed his absence and questioned his sister about where he was. The latter had covered him up by saying that he was visiting his horses at the royal stable. Morak arrived and saw that dinner had already started. "So they're okay?" Who is your favorite for the next race? » asked his father.

- I think Arrow will win. He is not in good shape at the moment but I think he can get back on track in this race.

- IF you say so, after all, it was you who was at the stable. I would bet a few krika on Wave. He has won 3 of the last 5 races and finished 2nd in the other 2.

The night seemed endless for Lorentz and Makissi. Why does fate attack them with such passion ? The great sage who had heard the news left his bed to come and comfort them. Makissi cried like a child. He could feel the pain she was experiencing. Without even realizing it, the young girl's tears had contaminated him. The children of his old friend Démek are alone. Lorentz was sitting in his room. He didn't let out any noise. This silence, as heavy as it was, could not express the suffering of the fallen prince. His head was between his knees. He no longer knew who to blame for their misfortune.

A few days before, Lidas had informed the queen that he was going to hire an assistant because he could not fully serve the queen and king at the same time. This morning the assistant had arrived. He was the Major man of the family of Duke Devin Geirs who ruled the lands of "Bambria". The new assistant was named Elias. He was officially a butler but for the last 3 weeks he held the role of master of the house because the main holder of this position was in intensive care at the hospital. Once the latter healed, Lidas published an ad and held interviews to reach his choice.

Elias was in his early twenties and stood 5 feet and 9 inches tall. It was his first day of service. Elias was very young for the position he held. He represented the elite among servants. All the young servants wanted to follow in Elias's footsteps. It was up to him to wake the king today. The king had already been informed of this change. When he woke up, he was happy to see that Elias was indeed young. Elias, even if he appreciated the king's joviality, wanted to do his job without incident and Morak's enthusiasm prevented him from doing so. The hardest part was dressing. Elias knew that this work was not going to be easy but he did not know that the difficulty would be linked to the wriggling and the enthusiasm of the king. He had even almost forgotten to announce the important news of the day.

Morak remained calm after Elias' words. Stunned by the sad news, he had stopped fidgeting. He already felt a little guilty about what had happened to them. But with the sad event that had just occurred, he felt obliged to do something. His empathy could only grow with regard to the successive misfortunes experienced by his cousins. He therefore asked that the great sage be brought as quickly as possible. He also demanded that a messenger be sent to the Bika to inform Garuk.

Melva had finished washing the infant and was getting ready to go out to do some shopping for that evening's dinner. She heard someone knock on the door and was surprised because no one was coming back from work right away. For her, it was probably her nephew who had forgotten a tool. "Another royal messenger!?, we no longer count them now". The message was intended for Garuk but she did not hesitate in the least to open it. This was only her second time removing a royal bucket and she had enjoyed her first experience.

There were no classes at the academy this weekend. Garuk had no way of knowing what her dear friend was going through. He started his day working in the workshop as usual. He was therefore surprised when he saw his aunt arrive with Kamal whom she had swaddled against her chest using a scarf.

- A royal messenger came to the house earlier and left this. (She gave him the letter.)

- You already opened it.

- I first thought it was an invitation but this is sad news.

Garuk finished reading the letter and looked at his aunt then at Rad, his boss. A look of surprise appeared on his face. His mouth was open. He automatically asked if his boss could give him an advance and allow him to take leave for that day.

- No ! Since you'll only be there on weekends, I'm not going to postpone your work and what's more, I'm not going to give you your salary for a day when you're new.

- So I resign.

Garuk took off his apron and left directly in the direction of the address that was marked on the letter. He didn't have enough money to borrow a shared carriage so he started running to get there.
