After many declined positions, Callie couldn't be happier to enter a training hall. It wasn't even four am yet, it was pouring outside, she had no clue who her trainer or her colleagues were. But why would she care?

Entering the hall meant for her to show her dad that she made good money herself and didn't need any help. And even if she wouldn't have been accepted, her job as a barista still covered all the costs. And she was happy the way her life was. It wasn't perfect, but perfect was boring. She grew up with 'the perfect life' so Callie knew what she was talking about.

The huge, beige door to the hall opened, ripping her out of her thoughts. The other women that, too, were in the changing room, made their exit. One last breath was taken, her excitement running over the roof.

"Hey, welcome to our very first training. I hope everyone had a good arrival. I'm Theodora Altman, but please call me Teddy. I'm one of your trainers. I-"

"Where is the other one?" A tall slim woman interrupted. Her red hair was in a high ponytail.

Teddy looked at her for a few seconds before starting her sentence again. "I'm not sure if she'll be joining today, which you would've known if you'd let me speak before interrupting." She glanced at the redhead. "But I'm confident that eventually she'll be joining too." There was silence before Teddy spoke again. "Are there any questions?" A few hands flew up, indicating that they did have questions.

"Who will be the other trainer?" The redhead from before asked.

Teddy looked at her. "What's your name?" She asked, her tone not sounding all too happy.

"Addison." Came the dry response. Teddy looked at the redhead, which Callie had a name to now.

"Well, Addison, the other trainer can introduce herself to all of you when she gets here. Even if it's next session." With that the redhead, Addison, kept her mouth shut and Teddy continued talking.

Teddy talked for around ten more minutes before announcing that before they'd start, they would get to know each other better.

Around thirty minutes later, everyone had introduced themselves by now, the door swung open, reveling a blonde woman.

"Hey, erm, sorry I'm late." she murmed before heading over to Teddy. Blonde hair was in a high ponytail. Blue leggings framed her legs with a matching blue sports bra. The dark green, almost black, rain coat, topped it off. In her pale hands was a bag, filled with, what Callie could only assume, were a pair of extra sneakers and clothes.

"You made it!" Teddy said, approaching the stranger. "We're already done with introductions. Just tell them your name and then we'll continue."

The blonde nodded, a quick 'sure' before she stepped a few steps back. "Hey, I'm Arizona Robbins, your other trainer." She turned back to Teddy. "I'll quickly change my shoes then I'll be ready." And with that, the blonde left, moving towards the dressers.

When Arizona came back, Teddy had connected her phone to a big screen, a video from her gallery about to start. "Alright, our mission is to recreate this dance. It was one of the best ones to ever exist and it couldn't be this dance without this one here." She said pointing at Arizona. "Sadly tho, we never were able to perform it, due to Arizona's partner leaving. What we are looking for right now is a replacement for her and background dancer. If you feel like you can't perform with a partner that knows this performance better than you ever will then please leave. If you feel like you don't want to be 'just' a background dancer then please leave as well." No one moved. "Alright then, here it comes." Teddy pressed the start button on her phone and a beautiful choreography was shown.

Callie was amazed by the passion the two main dancers put into their dance. How it looked like they were meant to do this dance, like it was their lifestory. She wasn't gonna lie to herself, seeing how gracious Arizona's old Partner was made her a bit uncomfortable. Was she good enough to put up to the standards that had been set? Callie looked over at all the other people's faces and lastly... Arizona's. She didn't smile, like she was proud of her work there. She was on the verge of crying. Barely noticeable, Teddy took her hand, offering her some sort of comfort which Arizona gladly accepted.

Arizona whispered something in Teddy's ear on which the dirty blonde replied with a short 'I'm sorry.'

As the dance came to an end, Arizona took a second go look up. "We are looking for someone who can do this choreography with me. It's not just about being able to know the steps, it's about the emotions you put into this."

Some people nodded in understandment, while others stayed still. One blonde woman, which Callie knew by now was Leah, just stared on the floor.

"We want you to study a choreography which you will be dancing with Arizona. Together, Arizona and I will decide who will be in the close ups. In total there will be three choreographys you will have to learn. We won't need all of you in this choreography. But in case there will be free places you'll get a call. If you did get a place and come from another country we'll give you a hotel room near the training hall. You won't need to pay for rent or anything like that. We'll pay you but discuss further moves later on." She continued explaining.

They all got a DVD with some parts of the original choreography which they were supposed to dance in two days. The training hall was free for them to start studying.

Callie looked down on her DVD cover. 1 stood there. Before she could even ask what the numbers were about, a man approached her. "Hey, you've got 1 too. I assume we have the same part. Wanna study together?" Honestly Callie didn't remember his name anymore. She considered her options for a moment before agreeing. It couldn't hurt, right?

"Mark." The man said.

Confused, Callie asked: "what?"

"My name. It wasn't hard to guess that you have no idea what my name was." He said with a shit eating grin on his face. He was right, but Callie wouldn't tell him. She had a feeling that he had a big ego and telling him he was right would only boost it.

"No, I did remember your name. I would've just needed a second." She replied instead.

The crowd of people slowly disappeared out of the hall. Some started warming up, while others found 'partners' to dance with, even if it wasn't necessary.

Without any more words being exchanged, Callie and Mark started training their dance, putting in all the effort and passion needed.
