"I didn't think you could look even more pissed off but here you are, standing right in front of me." Cristina joked as she looked at Arizona.
Arizona just rolled her eyes and put her bag away. She had noticed by now that Cristina was a rather sarcastic person.
She threw her bag in the corner of the room. The team warmed up by stretching before they started their dance.
"Wanna tell me something about your last partner? Why did she leave?" Callie asked curiously. Arizona looked deep in brown eyes.
"Emory. I'd prefer not to talk about her." Arizona replied quietly.
"Teddy said the two of you were close."
"I said I don't want to talk about her." Arizona said with a stern voice. She was getting frustrated with Callie's curiosity.
"Ok I get." Callie said and ended the conversation with that.
It felt weird for Arizona to dance their dance with another woman. A woman that wasn't Emory.

"Oliver... Charlie... Gizmo..." Emory tried to convince Arizona.
"We are not getting us a cat." Arizona laughed as she turned around to Emory. She placed her hands on the back of Emory's head. "They puke all the time and-"
"And they cuddle with you and they play with you and they are really cute. Have you found the picture I put in your car?" Emory smiled, her green eyes sparkling with pure love and admiration.
"Of course I found it. And I know they are cute. But what if we aren't at home and it pees everywhere? Have you ever tried getting the smell of cat pee out of your house? Because it's not working. You will forever have to live with this smell." Arizona said. She kissed a pout from Emory's lips away. "Besides we don't have the time to take the right care of a cat." Arizona explained.
A few days later when Emory entered their bedroom, there was a little plush cat sitting on her side of the bed. "It's not a real one but it's a start." She hugged Emory from behind as she kissed the exposed skin on her neck. "His name is Simba. I'm not arguing about his name." She proudly told her girlfriend.

After practice, Arizona walked up to Callie. She knew that she overstepped before. So here she was, on her way to make things up.
"Hey, can I talk to you?" She asked Callie, who was currently talking to Addison.
"Sure what's up?" Arizona signed for Callie to follow her a few meters away from the other women and men.
"I wanted to say sorry for overreacting before. I'm not entirely comfortable talking with basically a stranger about the past but I shouldn't have reacted the way I did."
Callie looked at her the whole time. But Arizona couldn't stand looking back at her. So she stared at the floor. And she talked. And when she was done talking there was a silence.
"I truly appreciate your apology. It wasn't that big of a deal so we're fine. I shouldn't have asked so many questions. Teddy just told me to ask you and that it wasn't her place to tell me. " Callie eventually replied.
"Yes, it's my story to tell." The blonde replied with a low voice. "But not yet."
There was a silence before Arizona had the courage to say the next thing.
"Are you free tonight? We need to do some bonding. In my old team there were two people that couldn't deal with each other. So Teddy, Emory and I made them go bowling once a week. It worked. Last time I saw them they were best friends and about to move in together. I'm not saying that I want to move in with you but I want to be friends with you." She explained to Callie. Her heart ached at the memory of her old team. Especially Emory.
"I'm free tonight." Was Callie's response.
Arizona looked at her and nodded lightly. "Great. There is a bowling alley right down the street. Meet me there at seven?" She asked, her heelart racing. Racing with nervousness. But also, racing with guiltiness. It felt like betraying Emory.
"Yeah if course."

Shortly after seven pm, Arizona arrived at the bowling alley. Callie already stood at the entrance, playing something on her phone.
"Hey, sorry I'm a little late." Arizona said as she fake smiled. She had tried a real smile but failed miserably.
"Oh hi. It's fine. I'm was waiting maybe two minutes, not longer." Callie replied with a mega watt smile.
They entered the alley, ordered their food and drinks and went to their alley.
Around two hours in and the two women had talked about almost everything. Well, Callie talked and Arizona would, now and then, often say something.
"What were the looks you shot Teddy today? You usually have lunch together. Not today why?" Callie asked before taking another sip from her soda. "I mean you don't have to answer if you don't feel comfortable. That's okay too." She quickly added after Arizona hadn't said anything for a few seconds.
"No, it's alright." The blonde assured her. "After everyone had left the restaurant yesterday, I excused myself to go to the toilets. I was away for maybe five minutes. When I came back, Teddy was gone. I went outside because I thought that she might wait for me in the car. But her car was away too."
"No way. How did you got home then?" Callie asked. She had obvious problems to not laugh at the story Arizona was telling her.
"Well at first I was at the same question. I had left my phone in her car so it wasn't like I could just easily text her. So I asked the waitress for her phone to call Teddy. You can't imagine my relief when I saw her car again."
"So she really forgot you at the restaurant?" Arizona just nodded her head, while taking a sip from her water.
They had talked for hours after that, bowled a few rounds, which mostly Arizona won. She used to go bowling with Emory. Not because they had to bond, but because Emory had always loved bowling. Almost as much as she had loved Arizona.
