It was still early when Callie made it to the Trainingshall. Mark and her had been practicing the dance for most part of their day. They didn't talk much but when they had been talking Callie did enjoy it. Mark shared the sense of humor with her. He was kind of a player but Callie told him in an instant that he didn't need to try his luck with her.
"Oh hey. You're early." A quiet whisper pulled Callie out of her trance. She looked up and saw Arizona. The blonde looked beat, like she hadn't slept in days. Callie knew that it sometimes came from the job, but without a partner you couldn't do your job.
"Yeah I wanted to prepare some things here before everyone else arrives." She gave Callie a little smile before continuing talking. "Why are you here so early?"
"It was the only train connection I could get. If I would've taken a later train I would've been an hour and a half too late." She smiled. "Do you need help with anything?"
"Sure, thank you. You could help me carry the music boxes inside. They are still in my trunk."
After Arizona finished with the charts she and Callie made their way to her car. "I have the little ones so one at each hand should work." They fell silent again as they approached a gray car.

"What happened to your last partner? I mean why aren't you dancing with them anymore?" Callie asked in hopes to kill the silence.
Arizona looked up from the power outlet where she had connected the boxes to. "She, erm, she moved away..." she said quietly while looking down again.
Well, her plan failed. "Are you still in contact with her?" It got a sarcastic chuckle out of the blonde.
"If only it was that easy." She whispered as an answer. Callie wasn't sure what that meant but decided to let the subject fall.
"Do you have any tips for me?" She asked.
Arizona looked at her for a second before replying. "Teddy's face is unreadable. Don't let it intimidate you."
"Do you think I've got a chance?"
"I've seen you dance. So did Teddy. You've got talent." In her voice wasn't much if emotions. She said it in a monotone voice, not seeming as if she cared about it if Callie got the job or not.
Just as she was about to ask another question, Teddy, the other trainer came walking in. "I swear to God I'll install new locks on my door and don't give you the keys for it! Do you know how sca-..." she cut herself off. Callie could right place Teddy's expression. She seemed mad but also relieved. "Oh hi there" teddy smiled. "Would you mind unlocking the doors the the dressing rooms please." She asked Callie while giving her the keys. "Thank you."
Callie didn't have much say but did as she was told.

It hadn't been for another hour until the others started to arrive. Arizona and Teddy quickly described how it would work before they gave everyone a number. Callie could feel the excitement running through her body. It's been quite a while since she had last auditioned for something big like this. She knew that she at least wanted to be a background dancer but seeing how passionate the others performed the dance made her somewhat intimidated.
Addison had been really good, which you could read off of Teddy and Arizona's faces. But so did Mark. Callie knew that he did have a talent for dancing, she had noticed it during practice.
When it was Callie's turn to audition it was past lunchtime. Most dancers left to get a quick meal. But knowing herself she couldn't have kept anything down due to her excitement.
She entered the stage. The mere seconds it took for the music to start playing felt like ages. Callie took one last deep breath before starting performing. Keeping her eyes closed most of the time, fearing that if she'd open them she'd see disappointment in the eyes of Teddy and Arizona.
Callie could feel her hands starting to sweat from anxiety. She wanted nothing more than to just go home right now on the one hand. On the other hand she didn't want the music to stop cause that would mean looking in the eyes of her jurors.
'Ive seen you dance."
"You've got talent."
The blondes words kept replaying in her head.
She could do that! She'd show them that she had the right moves to get the main job and not just some background dancer. She wanted the position in the front.
Callie opened her eyes again and gathered a quick glance at the two women who would be deciding on whether she'd get this part or not.

After she was done and left stage, Callie met up with Mark, Addison and, how she quickly found out, Cristina. "You were really good. They'd be stupid not to take you at least as a background dancer." Addison said as she took a bite from her sandwich.
"Thanks, but I'm not quite sure if they see it like you too. Teddy's eyes almost budged out of her head when you were done dancing. I'm pretty sure that you will be in." Callie said.
Addison gave a smirk, indicating that she saw Teddy's glances at her.
"Alright lady's. I have another audition to attend." Mark said, already packing his belongings. "See ya!" And with that he took of running to the exit, leaving two out of three lady's stunned.
"Don't worry, they are looking for a man. We wouldn't stand a chance..." Addison explained, not really being bothered by Marks studded leave.
"We don't have to be back until 6. Wanna go out a little? Eat something more than just old sandwiches?" Cristina asked. After the others agreed they took off, telling another candidate to ring them if the results came back early.
AN: should I continue writing chapters that are Arizona and Callie alternating or should I write only Arizona chapters. I feel like writing them is a little easier than alterning between those 2:) pls vote and comment:)
Next update tomorrow!
