You're an intern at Seattle Grace and Cristina Yang is your resident.

However...

What the rest of your colleagues are yet to discover is that you and Yang have had a little thing going on before she realised you would be one of her interns.

I'm fairness, it had been going on for a few months now and it was getting serious. You started dating after she'd recently broken up with her ex (apparently he left her at the altar!) You met her at a bar and the only other person who knew you two were a thing was her best friend, and wingman, Meredith Grey. Oh and Callie Torres because she lives with Cristina and walked in on you both... well... you know...

But she wouldn't tell anyone!

You were now a week into your internship and you were so tired.

You went to bed 10 minutes ago and now you were being paged again.

Cristina, who was lying peacefully next to you in bed, suddenly picked up her pillow and put it over her head before groaning "Answer your pager I'm trying to sleep!"

"Crap! I'm sorry!" You whispered, apologetically.

You rushed to the hospital to find out you were being paged to the skills lab by Dr Bailey.

"This is what was so urgent that I had to be disturbed during the only time I had to sleep!!" You complained to Lexie, the intern next to you.

"If you've got a problem take it up with the chief Dr y/n. You think that I want to be spending my free time teaching interns how to master basic sutures. Well I don't! I would like to be at home. With my son. And my warm bed. But neither one of us are getting what we want. Now, does anyone else want to waste time and complain or should we get this over with?!" Dr Bailey had heard you complain and gave you one of her famous speeches.

It sucked just as much as you expected. Bailey kept a closer watch on you after your comment.

"Wrong! Now do you see why practice is necessary Dr y/n?" She would occasionally remark.

You were getting frustrated.

You just couldn't grasp this specific technique and it was driving you crazy.

Eventually she let you all out for a lunch break.

"I want you all back here in exactly 20 minutes! If you're late I'll make you stay even longer!" Bailey warned.

You practically ran out of the door and headed towards the cafeteria.

You stopped when you saw Cristina down the corridor on the left.

You rushed over to her, making sure nobody noticed you.

"Hey." She said, not looking up from her chart.

"I hate Bailey." You said.

"Who doesn't? There's a reason we called her the Nazi!" Cristina chucked.

"Can I have a hug?" You asked, tearily.

"Ew no. Grow up!" Cristina laughed at you.

You didn't laugh back.

"Oh you're serious?" Cristina looked up at you.

You nodded, tears streaming down your face.

"O-ok." Cristina held her arms out awkwardly.

You wrapped your arms around her and buried your head in her hair.
