You woke up to see a bright light above you. Heaven? Were you dead? Were you good enough in life to end up in heaven? Were you about to meet your parents?

"Mom" you said, both hopefully get a little groggily.

Everything faded to black again.

When you woke up again you were aware of something tickling your nose. It was someone's hair.

"Mer! She's awake!" It was Amelia. She never was one to respect boundaries... She was leaning over you doing your Nuero checkup - even though she wasn't officially on your case because you're family, she did it anyway because she believed she was the best... and after what happened with Derek (rip) - she needed to be sure.

"Y/n!" Meredith basically jumped out of her seat and to your bed side.

"W-what?" You looked around confused.

"I need you to be honest with me about what happened y/n" Meredith said, a little strictly but only because she cared.

"We won't be mad" Amelia chimed in.

"N-nothing I swear!" You lied. Everything was coming back to you.

"Ok, we'll do this the hard way. I'll tell you everything I know and you can fill in the blanks for me?" Meredith said, irritated because of the scare you'd given her.

"Whatever." You replied, giving her attitude.

You wanted to hurt her so she'd leave you alone.

"I got a call from your school. Failure to complete homework. Attitude towards a member of staff. Swearing at a member of staff. Truanting your lesson. Truanting school completely! And that's not all! When I opened my purse I realised I was short over $100 - any idea where that went?!! I then got a call from the hospital!! Apparently a lady and her 5 year old daughter found you convulsing in the local park next to the swings!! They found heroin in your system!!! I had to spend even more money on a nanny for my other children!! Did I miss anything off!!!? Do you understand how serious this is?!!!! YOU COULDVE GIVEN YOURSELF PERMANENT BRAIN DAMAGE!!! YOU COULDVE DIED!!!!" She's shouting at you now, maybe a mix of anger and fear for your safety.

"You said you wouldn't be mad" you mumbled quietly and tearily.

"OF COURSE IM MAD - IM WORRIED ABOUT YOU!!! YOU HAD A GODDAMN SEIZURE!!! WHAT ON EARTH POSSESSED YOU??!!!"

"Also I did do my homework I just didn't want my teacher to read it" you said, tears spilling down your face.

"Why not?" Amelia turns to look at you, she furrowed her brow. You were surprised how calm Amelia had been. Generally she likes to freak out...

"It was a Mother's Day poem. I did it I promise. Then I read it to my mom when I went to visit" you said, so quietly they barely heard.

"I don't remember this?" Meredith says.

"Isnuckout" you said so quickly she didn't catch it at first.

"You snuck out? Y/n! Really?! You could've just asked me- Wait? You got a plane on your own??!! To Seattle?!! Why on Earth would you do that?!!" Meredith starts.

"It was a private poem! I didn't want you to know..." You cried.

"What about my missing money?"

"I needed lunch money... and I took some the other day for the plane - I'll pay you back." you told her the truth.
