I did a once over in the mirror, feeling happy with the way I looked. I walked into the living room and Jack smiled at me. "Ready to go?"
"Yeah." I said with a smile. I linked my arm with his and we walked down to his car. He ended up taking an uber from the airport to his house and then driving to pick up Tommy and George.
And now he's taking me on a tour of Brighton. We drove around to different places, but most of them got rained out and we agreed to do a different time.
We went to Mcdonalds for lunch when the rain let up, but just as we went to leave the downpour started again.
"I say we run in the rain." I suggested, a grin on my face as i pushed open the door and started running around the parking lot.
"What ate you doing?!" He laughed, staring at me from the door where he was sheltered from the rain
"Come on, Jack! Live a little!" I laughed, spinning in the rain with my arms out. He ran over to me, laughing as he felt the cold droplets hit his skin over and over.
"You're bloody, adorable." Jack said, staring at me with a soft smile. His eyes held suck a spark and light in them it made me enjoy this moment more.
"I know I am." I responded.
"At least you're self aware." He said, trying to catch his breath. "We can't get in my car this soaked, Kai."
"C'mon Jack, your car needs a good cleanin' anyway." I laughed. He grabbed my hand and we ran. We ran across the lot to his car, laughter echoing around us as we ran. We both got in the car as soon as it was unlocked, sopping wet and out of breath.
"That was fun."
"You need to liven up some." I laughed. He drove us around the city in the rain and we just screamed songs in the car.
"Let's go rollerskating." He said absolutely out of nowhere.
"What?" I asked, turning down thematic as I laughed.
"We're going rollerskating." He said, immediately making a u-turn and speeding down the road. We made it to the roller rink in a few minutes snd ran inside. He paid for our skates and we sat down on a bench to lace them up.
"Where did this idea even come from?" I asked, looking at him as I finished lacing them up.
"Dunno, just had the urge to go roller skating." He laughed.
"Fair." I shrugged. We both walked to the main floor and I skates circles around his ass. He got the hang of it after a few minutes, but still had to grip onto me from time to time when he was about to fall.
"Have you ever even done this before?" I asked, grabbing his arm as he almost fell again.
"Have I?" He asked mockingly.
"You totally haven't." I said, letting go of him.
"You're bloody right!" He yelled, grabbing back onto me as he lost his balance. I sighed, skating backwards and grabbing his hands.
"How are you so good?!" He asked, staring at me with wide eyes.
"I used to skate around my street for years, Jack." I laughed. We skated for hours before we switched over to the arcade. Now that he did beat me at. Every multiplayer game we did he won.
"Guess we're both individually skilled." I said, bumping my shoulder into his.
"I'm a gamer, it's important to my job that I'm skilled in gaming." He said with a laugh, bumping me back.
"I guess you're right."
"What do you do for your job?" Jack asked me. I smiled in response.
"I write a lot in my free time but I don't make money off of it. I make a lot of jewelry that people do pay for and I'm also a streamer and YouTuber, just kinda don't post all that often." I said.
"Cool! What kinds of jewelry do you make?' He asked, leading me to the claw machines. He put a few coins in before going for one of the stuffed animals.
"All kinds. Necklaces, bracelets, rings. You name it I can probably make it." I said with a small laugh at the end. I loved making jewelry. It started out as a hobby and worked its way up from there.
"Here." He said, handing the cow stuffed animal out to me. I smiled, grabbing it and looking it over. I heard the click of a camera and look dup.
"You brat! Delete that!" I yelled, grabbing his phone when he started taking more. I didnt get it, but I certainly tried.
