Til Forever Falls Apart - Ashe & FINNEAS

We were finally on land after fifteen fucking hours with one stop in the middle. I really hated flying, why do I take interest in internet friends because jesus am I in pain. We took an uber to our hotel and I won't lie, Izzy and I slept for an entire fucking day. Neither of us ended up sleeping on the plane as there was a screaming child behind us.

Whenever we awoke though, we did pick Caroline up from school and she did in fact scream.

"What time do you get out of class?" Izzy asked, putting Caroline on speaker.

"Right now, I'm waiting for my mom to pick me up. She said I wasn't allowed to drive and I'm not walking in this cold ass weather in a city. No thank you." Caroline's voice came down the line. I looked down at the gps on my phone and turned into the parking lot.

"Your ride has arrived." Izzy yelled out the window, pulling herself to sit on it as she hung up the phone. Caroline smiled widely and tried to stay quiet as school was still in session.

"Oh my god!" She yelled as soon as she was in the car.

"Hello!" I yelled with a smile as I drove to the park pulled up on my gps.

"God I missed you!" Izzy yelled, climbing into the backseat and hugging Caroline.

"I missed you too!" She said happily. "What are you doing here?!"

"For your birthday, obviously!" I yelled, parking in the parking lot and moving to sit in the back with the others.

"It's not for another week?" She asked, her smile not faltering whatsoever but her confusion ebbing.

"Yeah, and mine's tomorrow. Two in one!" I replied, smiling widely.

"No fucking way! I feel bad for not knowing that-"

"Caroline you don't even know my birthday." Izzy cut her off with a laugh.

"I'm terrible with dates! I'll get it next year." She replied with a laugh and a eave of her hand.

"Care, you literally said happy birthday every morning the entire week of my birthday." Izzy deadpanned with a smile.

"I didn't wanna miss it." She said with a shrug.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Anyway, were here for both of your birthdays. Plus, Jack is being a dick so we left early for that and because my mom is also being a dick."

"What do you mean early?" Caroline asked.

"We planned on coming next week instead but things got messy so we came early!" I said with a smile.

"We run from our problems." Izzy laughed.

"State something more obvious, why don't you." Caroline said, voice filled with sarcasm.

"Oh hush." Izzy said, smiling wifely at her best friend. I'm excited ti see how they both act irl with Asterin. I can already tell it's going to be absolutely a thousand times more chaotic than on Minecraft.

Izzy, Caroline, and I were all in the hotel room. Caroline was doing her school work. Izzy was napping. And I was doing my college essay.

"I need a brain break." Caroline sighed, putting her books down on the desk and moving to sit next to me on the bed.

"So do i." I said, staring at the word doc that had one word on it.

"Wanna talk about whats going on with you and Jack?" She asked. I contemplated just saying things were fine, but I knew she knew otherwise.

"My ex lied on my behalf on twitter. She face revealed for me and Jack just wont let me explain anything."

"He's probably in his head, to be honest. I'm not defending him because he should be letting you explain, but I know he feels as though he doesn't deserve half as much as he has, you included. He's probably self sabotaging and taking his anger out on you. He definitely knows the face reveal wasn't your fault, there's absolutely no way Tommy hasn't put his two sense in. I think at this point he's just trying to ruin his own life." Caroline explained.

"I just don't understand why." I said, looking at her with a pleading look.

"He just feels like he deserves nothing. He has a lot of self esteem issues and acts like he doesn't. He's such an amazing person but he doesn't feel like one."

"So he's pushing me away." I sighed.

"Yeah, but you're pushing back."

"What do you mean?"

"Communication goes two ways. You both are equally not responding to the other."

"It's too tiring to carry out a conversation with someone who doesn't want to have one."

"Maybe he feels the same."

"Maybe we just werent meant to work out."

"Or maybe you both are just trying to find a reason for it not to work out."

We left the conversation at that.
