April 1, 1987/Chapter 7

And that's how maybe Kazuha ended up ruining his life, in a good and bad way at the same time, because his liking for Scaramouche wouldn't disappear...

[April 1, 1987]

It was April Fools' Day, they have known each other for a few months, Scaramouche is no longer so aggressive towards Kazuha, but he is not friendly either.
The only thing that changed was that Scaramouche no longer hit him, his arrogant attitude continued. But perhaps inside, Scaramouche was safer talking to Kazuha.
Kazuha was planning a prank on Scaramouche, to make him angry, not in a bad way.

He wanted to see his reaction.
Kazuha wanted to see the anger in his eyes again.
So, Kazuha decided to use the best trick he could.
He looked at Scaramouche, with a grin on his face. And said.
"You're such an idiot."
This was it, and he could feel the storm coming. Kazuha was so excited to see what would happen now.

This made Scaramouche furious, he hated it when people spoke badly about him.
Scara threw Kazuha against the wall, and put a hand on the side of his neck, leaning against the wall as well.
He then glared at Kazuha in anger.
"Repeat."

Kazuha was not used to this kind of situation.
But, he did not want to be a coward.
So he looked back and said.
"You're an idiot, and you suck."
He wanted to see more reaction from him. He did not show any sign of being scared, but he was actually very nervous.
He was hoping that he would show some emotion now.
But he did not expect that it would be THIS reaction.

Scaramouche exploded, enough. He slapped Kazuha hard in the face, still in front of him looking at him angrily.
"Don't you dare talk about me like that, lesser idiot. If I suck then you can get away."
He said seriously.

Kazuha tried to hide the pain he was feeling.
Wow, Scaramouche's words were so sharp.
But... it was just him.
He smiled slightly, and said.
"I don't care what you think of me. I just care about YOU."
That, and the fact, that his slap meant that he cared?
It made Kazuha feel so happy, but, he could not show this feeling.

Scaramouche blushed slightly, it wasn't even noticeable. He then released Kazuha and walked away.
"What kind of prank is this?! I hate April 1st like I hate all holidays."
There was another piece of information from Scaramouche.
He was irritated.

Kazuha was confused now, but... he was excited too.
Did he... care enough to hate April Fool's Day?
He felt his heart beating faster.
Scaramouche's face was just too cute, even when he was angry and frustrated.
And he actually cared about holidays, he felt so happy now.
He wanted to try something else. And said.
"Is it okay, to do another prank?  Because I'm feeling a little... bored."

Scaramouche sighed in anger, he was very angry.
"No, I'm not here to entertain you, so go fuck yourself and play pranks there."

"Wow, he was rude again, maybe it was better to not talk."
That was what most people thought.
But... Kazuha always wanted to push a little further.
So, he looked him in the eyes, and said.
"No, I only care about you, and I want to stay here."
He tried to look calm, and serious.
But this... this was new to him.
"Scaramouche, I'm not bored when I'm with you."

Scaramouche remained turned away and looked away, a little embarrassed.
"Shut the fuck up."

Oh dear, maybe he said too much.
But... he could not give up, now.
He had to go ALL the way.
So, he tried again. But, he looked at him, feeling a little nervous.
If he looked away again, he would try to get his attention.
So, he said.
"Scaramouche, can you look at me, can you?  I... have a question."
