The next morning rolls around way quicker then it usually does and now I was standing in front of Manik's vanity van from the past 20 minutes because I was nervous and freaking out
Finally after a few deep breaths I walk to the door of the vanity, I knocked a couple times and a beautiful melodic voice comes from the inside
"Come in please" argh he is so sweet
I walked inside to see how messy his vanity was, I'm sure he saw my eyes wandering because he stands up right in front of me
"Good morning, im sorry my vanity is a bit messy" he says rubbing the back of his neck
"Good morning, mhm no it's totally okay" I whisper
he grabbed things off the chair that was beside his main vanity chair
"Sit" he says throwing the rest of the stuff on the main bed in his vanity making me chuckle silently
"You seem nervous" he says
"I am" I reply not having the heart to lie
"Why? Am I doing something wrong?" He asks
"Oh no no, I am just a bit stressed and anxious"
"It's okay, I don't bite Nandini at least not in day time" I giggle hearing him making him smile
"Its not that"
"Then what is it?" He asks setting his hair
"I have never been on sets like this, like on the front foot, I am usually behind the cameras and media, plus you are so intimidating" I whisper fidgeting with my hands
"Intimidating? Is it my height?" he asks
"Well yes but also manik you are this"
"Huge celebrity" he finishes my sentence
I nod looking up at him, he looked so sweet, I don't even know how else to describe him because he is perfect
"We can be friends" he says making me giggle a bit
"You wanna be friends with me?" I ask
"Yes, we are going to work together for a while, you know this shoot and then more stuff for the chart concert so why not?"
I can't believe he wants to be friends with me
"Okay". Mumble
"Great, so navya explained a whole bunch of jargon but"
"Basically I am following your around to record some details and some behind the scenes. Once the cameras have everything and I have everything by the end of this weekend, I will have everything edited and ran by you or your personal assistant before we put it on air" I explained
"Okay so I get to look at it before"
"Of course, anything you refuse gets cut out right away" I tel him
"Sounds good" he mumbles
I grabbed my notepad while he was fixing his clothes and hair talking to the person doing his hair or trying to
"No please arun I don't like that" he whines a bit when arun, his hair help touches manik's hair
"Manik stop it" arun says smacking his hand away making me chuckle as I write some stuff
"See now she will write about me being annoying to you" he states looking at me
At first I thought he was serious but he wasn't, he was teasing which I found out when I looked up from my notepad.
"Hey Nandini make sure you write about how fussy and annoying he is with his outfits, hair, oh and god his guitars, Jesus. I need therapy sometimes" arunsays
"Hey no, don't write about that" he mumbles
"Oh it's going on front page" I giggle
"Fine, write about how handsome and sexy I am as well oh and the number of times this stupid human irritates me" he says glaring at sam
"This is getting fun" I mumble
"Im sure it is" he says teasing me making me smile
All the nervousness and anxiously I had was slowly going away, it wasn't bad anymore, it was actually getting better.
"We are about to start the mic tests, did you wanna come with" he asks me
"Yes please, if I can"
"Sure you can, mhm leave your stuff here if you want"
I put my bag down not he chair and follow him.
You know I never thought that he had such hectic schedules, he started with microphone tests for an hour or so, he then had a few photoshoots before he got on the filming set to shoot a couple outtakes of the music video.
He had his phone on him the entire time and every time there was a cut or a 5 minute break while the team sets up he would reply to a couple comments on instagram, post some stories or even write.
I didn't note this down for work but he writes a lot in his notes on his phone, oh and this man has a lot of anxiety which I didn't know but he fidgets so much too
"Nandini" I hear him calling me when they break for 30 minutes
"Yes" I whisper walking to him
"Did you wanna have lunch? I know it's 5 but my schedule is a bit hectic" he sounded so anxious, almost like I would throw a fit
"No all good, are you about to eat?" I ask
"Yes, I have some food in the vanity, did you wanna eat?" He asks
"Sure I will grab some"
"No, there is some for you too and arun" he lets him know by yelling jsut to get on arun's nerves
They have this love and hate relationship and I love watching them bicker haha
"Shut up, I already know, I was the one who ordered it" arun yells back
"Write abut how abusive this man is towards me" he says
"Oh m god" arun mumbles making manik laugh a bit
Argh gosh, his laugh is beautiful, addicting, he is so sweet
I follow manik not his vanity and when I tell you this man's eyes shine a bit when he sees food, I mean he was grinning ear to ear seeing the food that was right there.
As we eat, him and I make small talk.
Manik isn't what the world perceives of him, he is the complete opposite actually like exact opposite.
In real life, he is a bit timid, anxious, sweet, humble, and gosh he is so much more handsome in person. He isn't this big celebrity who is rude to people, he is sweet and very respectful to everyone no matter their status.
He doesn't only show respect to directors or producers, but to peons who bring water around, the cleaning people, people who are assistants, just everyone. He even touched this aunty's feet who brings water around.
"I have to get back, but if you don't want to come with I understand" he mumbles
"Oh no, I'm okay to come along if you are okay with it"
"Of course I am okay with it, I know It's hectic right now" he seemed like he was apologizing
"Don't worry about it manik, it's okay"
