Chapter 21

"You are a tease, you know that"

"Mhm yes you have mentioned it a few times"

Smiling he places me on my feet, I swear his eyes shine brighter than any star today, I know I mentioned it a couple times but I can't get over it

His hands slip to either side of my face as he holds me, I knew he wanted to kiss me, hell I wanted him to kiss me too so I got on my tippy toes smiling

he looks in my eyes for permission and I nod, his old on my face kind of tightened but in the most comfortable way. His lips touch my forehead making me close my eyes for a second

"It makes me feel happy knowing I have you nandini"

His lips touch my nose

"Your button nose shines brighter than any other star" he whispers

Then his lips gently touch my cheeks pressing soft kisses on either cheeks before his nose nudges with mine, usually people say they are scared for their first kiss but I was so comfortable, but my heart was thumping against my chest so loud

Finally, his lips brush against mine before he captures my lips, my heart calms down the instant his lips take mine in a kiss, it was so peaceful.

I could feel my hands grip his shirt as his lips start moving against mine, it took a minute for me to catch up to his lips when I finally was moving in sync with him. He was so gentle yet so passionate wiht me, it was perfect.

"You are perfect baby" he whispers pulling back from my lips

Instantly I rest my head against his chest catching my breath

"Breath" he mumbles kissing my head

"Manik"

"I know sweet girl, you are overwhelmed, it's okay. We are okay, everything is fine" his words reassure my heart more than I could reassure mine

Hours, we spent hours just sitting on a bench at that lookout, it was honestly so mesmerizing, beautiful.

"Baby I need to take this call" he mumbles as we were on the highway

"Mhm can you pull over, ill drive" I suggest

"No, it's okay, will you please just put my phone on speaker" I nod grabbing his phone

Nyonika displays on the phone

"Hello" he says, his jaw already tightening

"Where the hell are you manik" the voice screams

"Watch your tone, whats going on?" He asks gripping the wheel

"If you are" before she could finish the sentence he grabs the phone putting it on his ear

"I don't give a shit, if you need to see me, then come over, you know where I live now bye" he said cutting the call

The mood had instantly changed in the car, he was tense and was now gripping on the wheel like he was taking his anger out

hesitantly I reach the back of his neck gently caressing as he drives, a small sigh leaves his mouth.

"Im sorry" he whispers a while later

"No, it's all okay. Are you okay?"

"I am angry" he mumbles

"Why?" I ask

There is something about communication, I love how good he is at communicating with me, it's perfect

"She keeps ruining my god dman fucking mood"

"Shh words manik"

He doesn't say anything instead, his left arm leaves the wheel and moves to my thigh. I grabbed his hand with my left hand lacing my fingers with the back of his.

"Can I tell you something?" I ask

He nods caressing my thigh

"I was 21, when this girl at my college would piss me off all the time, it wasn't that I cared but I let her get to me, I would be so annoyed and pissed off running the rest of my day but then one day my chachi, she told me to jsut smile the next time this girl pisses me off"

"I can't do that"

"Thats what I said but I did try it"

"And?"

"She got annoyed, when she saw I didn't care, when she saw that I was the least bothered, she got more aggressive until she stopped. Now im not saying you need to deal wiht it like that but"

"Nandini it's my mother, I can't" hearing that it's his mom I didn't say anything further against it

"I understand mhm would me staying over help?" I ask

"Can you please?" He asks

"Sure thing, I can even bring toodles" I say

"Not toodles man, that thing makes me jealous" I couldn't help but laugh hearing him

"Manik it's a giraffe stuffed toy"

"you hug the thing like you are so in love" he complains which is honestly so cute

"Oh I am in love"

"Fuck that, you know im better"

"Silly, you are comparing yourself to a stuffed toy" I mentioned

"Okay and? You hug him to sleep and you kiss him, what do you expect?"

"Hehe okay I will not bring him, ill hug and kiss you to sleep"

"So much better" he mumbles making me laugh

"Don't laugh, it's annoying to walk in your house and see that thing cuddling you"

"You are so possessive"

"I am because you are mine okay, mine" his hands grips my thigh making my stomach tingle

"Im yours" I hear myself whispering

We went straight to Manik's house and I jsut changed into a shirt of his becasue I was too lazy to go home and change.

"No, arun it doesn't matter" I hear him mumbling sitting not he couch in his room

"It does matter, she is telling me to cancel your concert"

"As if I have ever listened to her Arun, leave it. The tickets are already sold, I don't care what she is bringing to the game this time but im not having it"

"Manik think about it"

"Arun leave it, ill deal with her"

"So I block her?" He ask causing manik to chuckle slightly

"Yup right after you tell her to fuck off"

"No I don't fight with older chicks"

"Whatever, ill see you later" manik says cutting the call

"Whats going on handsome?" I ask walking to him

"You look gorgeous in my clothes, wear them often" he whispers

"Don't try and get off topic, whats going on?" I ask

"Please, I don't wanna talk about it right now"

"Okay I understand that but are you okay?' I ask rubbing his chest

"Better, do it more" he says making me laugh

"Come here, lay down"I mumble

He lays down on his stomach, his arm around my waist, his face in my neck

"Everything will be okay, dont' waste your energy on someone who doesn't deserve it' he hums but doesn't utter a single word

i turned the tv on and he got comfortable falling a sleep beside me, it didn't take long before the room fills with his soft peaceful breathing
