Chapter 8

We all got settled and lastly Manik and Cabir walk towards us, his eyes shine a bit when he spots me sitting there, he looks around and a smile forms on his face

"This was the bright idea?" He asks sitting beside me

"Yup, it's amazing right?" I ask

"No stupid, its average" he says making me glare at him

"Shut up" I mumble grabbing a handful of marshmallows stuffing them in my mouth

"Now say chubby bunny" he says poking my cheeks

"Chubby bunny" I mumble making him laugh

"One more time" he says

"Chubby bunny" this man takes a picture of me, literally takes a picture of me laughing

"Perfect" he says

chewing on the marshmallows I smack his arm

"Violence, do I need HR or"

"oh shut up you big baby"

"Aww you think im big" he teases

"Manikkk"

"Yes Nandini, I think it's because you are so short that everyone around you just seems tall" he loves making fun of my height

No honestly, this Wednesday I was at work, I was actually editing some things and Manik called me and no not for anything serious or just to talk.

This man tells me a kid came up to him asking for his autograph and the little child who was maybe 10 reminded him of me because I am so tiny like what the hell

"Mr malhotra, I think everyone are just way too god damn tall and I am normal height" he chuckles laying down on the sheets I had laid out

everyone was talking and messing around, we played truth and dare for a bit but all the dares were so funny, we made arun jump in the water, I had to walk in alaya's heels on the sand, navya had to braid Cabir's hair but she made little pigtails so cabir's dare was to keep them until we went home. alaya's dare was to do a front flip, and Manik's was to fit as many marshmallows as he can in his mouth and now it was my turn to take pictures haha

It was so nice, I loved hanging out here, it was so nice. I don't know if Manik enjoyed but he was laughing and messing around the whole time.

"He is a sleep" Cabir says

I look beside me to see Manik a sleep making me smile, he was trying so hard to stay up during the last conversation about some random show

"He has been so burned out at work, it's actually so sad to see him like that" arun whispers

"What do you mean?" Navya asks

"It's almost like he is a robot, he comes on set and does everything like he is told, there are times he doesn't have emotions at all. He has been asking to just take days off and I tried really hard but I can't do anything more than 4 days. He is the sweetest person I have ever met but it hurts my soul to see him like that"

I could feel what arun was saying because when he came over that one night, he was so exhausted and if it wasn't for the coffee in his system he would sleep for hours

"when are his 4 days off?" I ask

"In a couple days, I think he was wanting to talk to you about something but decided against it"

"Me?"

"Oh yeah, Nandini I would never say this but since he is a sleep I will tell you, he is constantly talking about you, mostly teasing but he misses having you around on set"
