I looked myself over for the last time in the mirror. My boy crop tee showed a little more skin then I was willing but I had nothing else to match the mini skirt I had picked up from the mall yesterday.  So I pulled it to cover as much as I could and put tights under my skirt.  I straighten my hair trying to look as edge as I possibly could.  It was the night of the welcoming dance and I was waiting for Jesse and Eirie to show up.  It was going to be interesting to see how the family reacts to Eirie’s personality.  I dapped on a bit of nude lipstick and gloss then combed my hair out once more, there was a knock on my door.  I saw Rosie’s little face peak through the door.

“Can I come in Ceci?” she asked and I smiled waving her in from the door.  She jumped into my lap,

“You look so pwetty Ceci!” she smiled and started playing with my hair I laughed.  Rosie still couldn’t say her Rs and it only added to her cuteness.

“Thank you sweetie, wanna come down stairs with me?”  she nodded twice, holding her hand we made our way downstairs.  I picked her up and swung her when we had finally reached the living room.

“You better stay away from all street corners tonight or I might be drunk enough to try to get with you,” I turned and saw Jordan and Jason standing in the doorway.  Jason laughed at Jordan’s remark and they high-fived each other.

“Hahaha you guys are so funny,” I answered picking Rosie and placing her on my hip.

“I mean I can’t walk around all night with a bucket of water, at some point it won’t be ice cold anymore,” Jason added I glared at my brother and cousin.  Hoping if looks could kill they would pass out at any moment.

“What are you guys rambling on about I’m trying to read!” Caster complained walking into the room and plopping down on the couch.

“Just how we had to douse your sister down a couple nights ago,” Jordan said snidely I gave him a look and he coughed back a laugh.

“I swear I was adopted,” Caster said leaning back on the couch and massaging his temples.  Just then there was a knock at the door.  I walked over with Rosie still on my hip and answered it, it was Eirie with a white button up that was open to reveal his fitted midnight blue tee and paired with his favorite black jeans.

“Hey, didn’t know you had a kid.” He said nodding towards Rosie I glared back at him, Rosie didn’t know what to do she just looked back and forth between us.

“This is my little sister Rosie, Rosie this is Eirie.”

“Eiwie is cute!” Rosie whispered loudly, it made him laugh and he ruffled her hair which made her laugh.  I put her down and she took Eirie’s hand.

“Come inside, you have to play with me!” she pulled him inside he gave me a look and I shrugged my shoulders.  Once inside Jason and Jordan exchanged glances while Caster rolled his eyes.

“We’ll guys this is my friend Eirie, Eirie The tall one with the black hair is my cousin Jordan, the one that’s a bit shorter with brown hair is my older brother Jason and the lazy bum on the couch with the sandy brown hair is my younger brother Caster,” I said pointing each of them out.  “And I think you already know Rosie,” I added while I watched Rose look up at him and bat her eyelashes I stifled a laugh as she grabbed his hand tighter and tried to lead him down the hallway.

“I’m going to marry Eiwie one day! We’re going to go play video games.” she screamed and we all looked at each other laughing but as she dragged him towards the basement he mouthed “You owe me,” over his shoulder before they disappeared down the steps.  It didn’t take very long for Jesse to get there and once he did mom insisted on taking pictures.  We finally finished and were about to leave when Rosie grabbed on to Eirie’s pants.
