I knocked waiting patiently at the door as I heard feet scrambling to answer me.  I sighed trying to think of what to say. “I know I haven’t seen you guys in a year but hey, how’s it going? Today’s the one year anniversary of Luke’s death how time flies huh?” Yeah I definitely couldn’t say that- I took a sharp inhale of breath as the front door opened, plastering a smile on to my face until his eyes locked on to mine.

“Luke?” I whispered trying hard to catch my breath.

“Hey beautiful, I’ve missed you,” he said an easy grin sliding on to his face, the one that always made my heart stop.  I just stood there staring at him until finally I willed my legs to move and ran into him, crushing him in the biggest hug as tears streamed down my face.

“I missed you too, so much you’ll never even know,” I said crying into his shoulder.  He just hugged me tighter his strong hands mending my broken heart.  I pulled back and looked into his beautiful dark eyes.  “I thought you were gone for good,” I said my voice getting stuck in my throat.

“I know, I did too.” His voice shook a little.

“Don’t ever leave me again,” I whispered as he wiped a tear from my eye.

“I don’t plan on it,” then his lips were crushing mine.

I sat up straight feeling nauseas, I had been having the same dream for a couple of weeks now and no matter what I did I couldn’t get it to stop.  Wiping the tears from my face I turned over to look at the time on my clock, it was only four am.  Sighing I turned on the TV and waited for six-thirty to come.  Ever since I had realized I was falling in love with Eirie I had started getting those terrible nightmares, I guess it also didn’t help that Luke’s death anniversary was today.   I had been planning to go visit his family today but after these recent events I don’t even know if I would be strong enough to.  I stared at the TV running through the dream and its possible meaning until finally it was six-thirty.  I moved slowly getting ready; I took a shower, threw my hair up in a messy bun and put my sweats on before running downstairs.

“Hey honey,” my mother called from the kitchen, I still wasn’t really talking to her after she kicked Jordan out.

“Hi mom,” I said grabbing my backpack and keys from off the table.

“Aren’t you gonna eat?  I made your favorite today!” she responded popping her head out of the kitchen.  I gave her a polite smile and shook my head.

“No, not really that hungry but thank you.”

“You haven’t really been eating lately Cecily, I’m worried about you,” she stepped out of the kitchen looking at me with concerned eyes.

“I know mom, really I’m alright I got to go though I’m gonna be late if I don’t,” I said smiling at her weakly one more time before I slipped through the door but I heard her voice drift the soft words I love you before I left.

I got into class right before the bell rang shuffling to my seat by the window.

“Pssst, psssst…” I heard someone say I turned to see Tawny on my side giving me a worried look, I raised my eyebrow at her in recognition.  “Are you alright?  You’ve been looking like hell the past two weeks!”  She continued on looking around the room to make sure no one was listening.

“Yeah I’m fine.” I lied.

“No you’re not,”

“Yes. I am,”

“Liar,”

“Excuse me, is there something you would like to share with the class Ms. Winston and Ms. Jones,” Mr. Jenkins asked giving as a stern look.
