Jason and I showed up to the door of Jasmines house, Jordan had refused to come and Jesse still wasn’t talking to me. Eirie on the other hand said he was going to be here with a friend so I didn’t worry about him. I had put on the Xena costume I had bought a couple weeks back and the jewelry Penelope and Rosie had made for me, while Jason was dressed up as Antonio Banderas from Zorro. Kelly stood in the doorway to great us.
“Hey guys, thanks for coming! The dance floor is in the back and refreshments in the kitchen help yourselves. And don’t forget costume contest ends at 10:30 so remember to enter!”
“Thanks!” I smiled politely as Jason ushered me through the door. Once we got in we saw the DJ who was set up in the corner with a mummy costume on. The dance floor was packed and there wasn’t one person not in a costume.
“Look at all this, I’m going to go dance you don’t need your big brother around do you?”
“No get outta here,” I said pushing Jason towards the dance floor. He smiled and walked in the direction I was pushing him.
“If you need me just text,” and with that he left. I sighed and made my way over to the punch bowl which I could smell had been spiked by some type of liquor. I shook my head and picked up a bottled water instead.
“Hey you made it!” Jasmine said hugging me. I smiled and looked her Tinkerbell costume over.
“Yeah, I really like your costume, it’s so adorable!”
“Oh what about yourself Ms. Sexy-Warrior-Princess,” she laughed and I pushed her playfully.
“Where’s Tawny?” I asked her looking through the bodies to see if I could find her.
“Oh she’s on the dance floor getting down and dirty with your brother…” she winked at me as I tried not to shutter.
“Haha, that’s disgusting. Anyway sorry Jordan wouldn’t come, he said he refused to be seen with high school students other than the ones in his family.”
“Hey it’s no problem, I’m just glad you and Jason showed up!”
“Of course we would, wait is Jesse or Eirie here?” I asked holding my breath. Jasmine sighed and shook her head.
“I know for a fact Jesse’s not coming he bailed as soon as he found out you were going to be here.” I shook my head in response and put my hands on my hips.
“I can’t believe that kid, what about Eirie?”
“Oh he should be here soon, he had to go pick up his friend,”
“Well I got you two out of four,” we laughed and watched some of the people mingle.
“I’m going to go dance, wanna join me?” I asked edging my way towards the dance floor.
“No I’m just going to watch, have fun girl!” I smiled and waved back at her before I weaved my way through the crowed to get to the dance floor. When I finally got in Tawny and Jason were nowhere to be found and I really didn’t want to know what they were doing so I headed back to the refreshments where they had just put out another punch bowl.
“There’s liquor in this one too,” I sighed shaking my head.
“You too good for alcohol?” I heard a teasing voice say, I turned to see Eirie in a leather jacket and ripped jeans.
“So you decided to show your face after all,” I said crossing my arms in front of me.
“Where you missing me by any chance?” He said stepping dangerously close, I stepped back.
