The Kingsley daughters were thriving. Life had weirdly put them both in positions that they were their best selves in. They fitted into where each of them were, as if they were there all their lives, as if they were meant to be. Megan had become comfortable with singing on TikTok and had gathered her fair share of a large crown there than on instagram. Kelis and her friends had been supporting her all along the few months that had passed while still letting her herself.

Sage had fallen in love with her uncle's large family and they treated her as one of their own. She got closer to Darren and over the past few months they had bonded over their similarities and they both enjoyed having each other around. She still almost always had Keith somewhere in the back of her head, and always loved seeing him in school. With Darren and her getting close, razaiah never liking when she mentioned Keith, and him not really showing any interest other than looking her ways then smiling-it was as if he himself was avoiding her-she had to stop thinking of him, and slowly she did grow out of infatuation. This is what she told herself, if it were up to her she wouldn't force herself not to like him, which she still did. She just didn't see the point of letting her feelings thrive because her surroundings didn't support it.

"You are gonna come to my game tonight, right?" Darren asked her, at the end of another day in school. Over the past few months she had accumulated not friends apart from Darren, as per Razaiah's instruction-more friends, more drama. It wasn't the way she had seen the last two years of high school. She just thought she would be have lots of friends, apart from her cousins hence she appreciated Darren.

"I wouldn't miss it." She said putting her things in the back seat of her car. She was riding alone as Razaiah didn't go to school that day, which was new to her as she had been used to having her around as they went home together. She opened the door to the driver's seat but Darren shut it. She glared at him in a playful manner as he pulled her gently into his chest then wrapped his hand around her.

"Oh my gosh you always smell so good." He groaned lightly, his sound making her smile. He sank his nose into her neck which was a little bit much for her so she pulled away.

"Can't wait to see your game." She said trying to cover up pushing him away. He smiled, opened her door for her, and let her get in before shutting it.

"You look so cute when you get all shy baby," he said, making he smirk, and start the car.

She drove away questioning herself the whole way home, why she pushed him off. She didn't seem to understand herself. They spend too much time together and she knew that he wants more than just friendship. She liked him too. But it didn't help that she had a silent crush on another boy. Darren was perfect for her, but she had to wipe Keith off her brain, or else it would be fatal.

She got home, and headed up to her bedroom, after saying hi to her aunt and uncle who were in the kitchen being all lovey-dovey while the little kids did their homework on the island.

She got ready for the game, somewhat excited to see Darren play. It was a turn on to see him dominate the court and the ball while the other players seemed like spectators in a court. He was born and raise in a family of football players, but wasn't ever really interested. He took his own path.

She found out that some of the other teens were going, as well as Razaiah so they just took the escalade.

The gym was full, too full for a normal games night. The game hadn't even started and the people were all lively, those in support of Windforks optimistic that the team was going to win.

They found a spot to sit in. Then sat, waiting.

"Darren is so whipped," Razaiah giggled as the teams made their way into the gym. The young man was looking for where sage was sat, and when he finally spotted her, a big smile made its way onto his lips.
