Hey guys, hope I haven't kept you waiting for too long. But things are about to get a little wild. I think the next chapter will leave an impression on you and I can't wait to share with you guys that chapter. But before I do so, this chapter is important in setting the vibe. ⛓️⚠️

Also, this chapter is slightly long, so I do recommend reading it when you have some undisturbed time on your hands :) ✌🏻

As we continue to follow the transmitter, we were guided into the other side of the city, filled with the usual drunks and druggy infested dark alleyways. But it doesn't stop there. We drive past the alleyway far from the city nightlife, where the asphalt roads were replaced by uneven gravel.

Not a single building insight.

Approximately 25 minutes later, the transmitter stop moving. The place in which they ceased their travel had nothing but a massive block of . . . something.

Relaying the message for everyone to stop where they are, attempting to be cautious and not be seen. It was stupid to go in without having a basic plan in place, especially now knowing that they weren't as weak as they were the first time. Fuck knows what kind of monster was hiding behind or below that block or something.

"Rei?" I call out into the earpiece.

"Yea?"

"Are you able to gather anything from there?"

Silence follows, with only the faint typing sound our breathing mingling it. But soon after Rei responds.

"It's an abandoned laboratory, something for geology. The entrance has a very simple security system. Nothing should be hard about it. But there seems to be a lot going on down below. It's hard to grasp. It's very low."

"How low?"

"About 4000 feet give or take. I sent you the architectural layout that the structure was built upon. It should give a basic idea. But. . .  it's not really matching with the security in place. I suppose that's a given but it's best not to just rely on the layout sheet."

Alaina fiddles with the tablet then hands it to me with the architectural layout sheet sent by Rei. There were several levels underground. With very minimal information. And the likelihood of it being reconstructed into whatever it may be, it wasn't a smart move.

"It's not worth the risk" Ash's voice filter through. Giving the usual logical disapproval.

"But we have enough manpower. Getting down to the root will be worth it. It's not our first time invading into foreign land" Like to his personality, Josh had a 'go big or go home' attitude . To place that in our current situation, with no actual real reasoning, it was plain stupid.

"But we can always go back. We have the location. We can gather more information and put a solid plan in place before we raise a n attack that will end in a certain success." Ash had a point.

"Your logical reasoning is flawed. What if they have already figured we're here. What if they abandon the place altogether? Why go back to square one?" For the first time in a long time, Josh was using more than one brain cell.

"It's better than losing more unnecessary lives."

"And so, we have to do this shit all over again?"

"Okay, let's say we do go back, regroup, and plan a solid plan. What are the chances we are going to know about the internal strcuture? Is Rei able to get more information than we already have?" Will asks. Always being the mediator of our group.
