Ch: 11

Howdy entered the church, seemed like no one was around the alter at the moment, maybe they were at the nave, he quietly closed the church's door, to make sure the people attending church, did not hear him enter.

Howdy is late for church, he is normally not late at all, he walked passed the alter and down a hall, as he was about to enter the orthodox, he felt a hand grab his arm, and pull him toward the alter again. Howdy then was pushed onto a wall, howdy looked a bit down and saw Wally, "what do you think your do-" "today is not the day to talk back to me caterpillar, today you will be Filling a few tasks I need you to do. And I'm already having an off day." Wally said as he backed away from howdy, "and if you don't mind me asking..what are the tasks?" Howdy said confused.

Howdy then was gifted a sinister smile, he had a smile almost ear to ear as if what howdy said was exactly what he wanted to hear. "Don't worry, there not to hard, just a little, well, let's just call it, picking a few berries off the bush is all" Wally said, "...I don't have a choice, do i.." howdy whispers to himself.

"No, you don't.." Wally said, howdy moved away from the wall and rubbed his wrist.

"I need you to bring me a child."

Howdy immediately looked at Wally, "what?.." howdy said "I said, I need you to bring me. A child." Walt repeated. "..what fo-" "I will tell you as soon as you bring me a child, then you can see why. Now, I will tell the others you needed to go out to the souk for some supplies, make sure to get..whatever you want. Otherwise they will think I lied, and I don't want that." Wally said circling howdy, Wally stoped walking around howdy and looked at him, "hurry along Father howdy, I will be here." Wally said, howdy gulped shakily, he walked toward the church doors and opened it, he didn't look back, he just followed directions.

Howdy smiled as the old woman at the stand thanked him for paying, he put the apple in the basket and walked off, as he was about to go to another stand, he heard children.

He turned his head to see 4 boys and 2 little girls playing with wax dolls. He smiled softly and was about to walk away, but remembered what Wally said, howdy felt himself start to panic, he closed his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows and clenched the basket's handle tight.

"I can just go back, I don't need to bring a child back to that demon!.....but...oh god..he will hurt so many people in the church..possibly more people in the village if I don't...i Can't...i..I won't....I...." howdy thought in his head, he opened his eyes, and looked at the children again, "I will be back, I need to go get my other one!" A little boy said, the boy got up and walked away from the children, howdy watched him walk past some bushes and behind a cottage.

Howdy exhaled shakily and Waited a few seconds before walking toward the bushes, "father howdy!" A kid said, howdy looked back and saw a little boy who he've seen only a month or so ago "oh..hello" howdy replied "remember me? You were the one who baptized me!" The kid said getting up "I do remember you, you're Terrance" howdy said giving a small smile, "where are you going? I normally see you at church" he said, "oh..I was just..buying some things for the church, bread, apples...y'know, things for the fathers and sisters." Howdy said

"If you don't mind mr Father, I Was about to head to the church to see my mother and father, if your heading to the church, may I come with you?" He asked "aren't you busy playing?" Howdy asked looking at the other children and back at him, "yes...but I told my parents I would come back after a couple minutes, I don't know how long I have been out here for." The kid said with a sigh, howdy looked at the boy, he strained a smile and nodded his head, the kid looked down at the other children and placed the wax doll onto the ground.

Howdy felt a strong guilt wash over him as the kid walked over to him with a smile

Howdy and the child walked inside the church, he placed the basket by the door and watched at the child looked around "I normally come inside from the back door, I have never seen this room before!" The child said, howdy smiled softly, but that smile faded as he heard footsteps approaching the room.
