Chapter 6

Onix's POV
"Grrrrrr! Have dinner with us! Have dinner with us! Have dinner with us! Pretty pweaseeee!"

"I-I can't!"

She crossed her arms and started pouting.

"I have sand all over me now! I definitely can't come into your house now!"

"I'll clean it up! I promise!"

He ended up having dinner with us the next day. Winter didn't want to go back home. She was crying most of the drive home. I just started hugging her.

"You'll see them again soon. We're moving by them remember?"

                                  Felix's POV
My sister was the first to go back to school. She was scared. She didn't want to get out of my car.

I walked her up to the front door.

"You're okay. Call me, mom, or dad if you need us."

She walked inside with her head down. It broke my heart seeing her that upset. I turned around then went back to my car.

"Lixie!!!"

I turned around and saw Winter running up to me.

"Hey Win! Is Nix around here?"

"No. My mom said you can go over there. She won't wake up. She's pretty nervous about starting school here."

Awwww...

My baby's scared?

"Are you still gonna be with her when you're 18?"

"Yeah. I'm allowed to be. I already looked into it. I'll let you head in now. Sarah just went in."

She hugged me then ran into the building. I got in my car and made my way to see Onix. I knocked on the door and she opened it. She looked like she just woke up. She rubbed her eyes then looked up. She started hugging me. I walked inside and used my foot to close the door. She locked it.

"Winter told me you're scared about school."

"Yeah. I haven't been the new girl in a long time now."

"Awww my darling. You'll be fine. I'll be right next to you."

I kissed her forehead. She said something under her breath.

"What was that?"

She looked at me with love in her eyes.

"I love you Lixie."

"I love you too Nixie."

She started hugging me tighter and closer to her. I started cradling her head.

"It's just you and me. Lix and Nix. Us against the world. I'll protect you."

She nuzzled up against me.

"My reputation's gonna protect you even more."

"You're my bad boy teddy bear!"

"And you're my adorable sweetheart."

I bent down and kissed her. When school started for us, we walked in while, holding hands. She looked up at me. She looked worried.

"You're okay darling. It's going to be okay."

I showed her around the school.

"I'll see you at lunch."

She looked down and nodded.

"It's okay. I'll see you soon my love."

She walked away with her head down. That broke my heart. I walked to class and saw my friend Daryl.

"Hey dude. Was that girl you were talking with your girl?"

"Yep. That's my baby, Onix. I'm worried about her."

"She'll be fine."

"She will be eventually. I wish...we were in the same grade."

"She'll be okay Rhodes."

"I know Danielson. I know."

The first bell rang and we walked into class. We sat in our regular seats. Our teacher looked up and saw us.

"Don't make me separate you guys."

"We won't."
