(Woo, the moment y'all have been waiting for. Time for Simon and the Adlers to meet, pre main story ofc but enjoy.)

Simon spent a few days travelling around the country, those days turned into weeks and eventually he ended up in the Grizzlies to the North, the land was ice cold..after all, it was the middle of winter. It was a damn miracle he even made it up the mountains in the first place in all the snow, the snowstorms were brutal and harsh, the cold going right through his clothes to the bone. He spent many a day and night in those mountains, freezing to death in the cold, living on nothing but the few animals he could hunt amd the small fires he managed to get going once in a while. As he rode one day he came across an old abandoned village, the place seemed empty enough and sheltered enough that he could rest here a while from the cold. So he hitched up his horse, climbed off it and went into one of the buildings, the place seemed to be an abandoned mining village by the name of Colter.

"This will do.." He said softly just glad to be out of the storm for a little bit, the place was cozy enough and allowed for a fireplace to keep himself warm as well as a bed to sleep on for comfort for once...and after all the rough riding and adventures Simon had been on, this place might as well have been heaven for him despite the cold. He spent what felt like a week there in that abandoned little village but was actually but a few days. It was September now and well he was starting to need some money or something...something to give him a purpose in this cruel world and his life now. And soon he found it, for he rode off again amd explored the mountains. One day he stumbled upon a hill and saw below him a ranch. "Who the hell is crazy enough to try live up here..?" He asked himself rhetorically as he looked below him at the ranch, Although it was winter right now, this place was probably rather habitable in the summer months so maybe it wasnt that crazy. Just then it seemed to get colder again, a series of shivers went down his spine and he was too far from Colter to go back there now. He had no choice but to go down and hope that if there was anyone around...these were decent folk.

As he made his way down to the ranch, he felt himself getting colder and colder, the place was really well maintained with a stable, a barn, a grazing area for livestock and of course the main house which seemed to have lights on through the window. "Well, its either the cold or these people who will kill me so here goes..." He said to himself as he made his way to the house now and gently knocked on the door. He kept his gun ready and his hand near t in its holster incase of trouble but that was not what he would find here. A man opened the door, not even with a weapon for safety which caught Simon a bit by suprise but he figured maybe they didnt get too many visitors and house calls 'round these parts. "Hey, there, what can I do for ya?" The man stated, he seemed really friendly and even in looks reminded Simon of his father a little, the brown hair, the eyes, the nature this man held himself in...and Simon felt himself getting a little emotional and he wanted to speak but he just couldn't.

The man looked at Simon for a while and could see he was freezing, the red bloom in his cheeks from the cold, the snow on his clothes, he was a helpless man and this man of the house was too kind to leave him to freeze out there. "Come on in." The man said as he left the door open and went back inside now still unsure whether to trust Simon or not. Simon followed him in and closed the door behind him already looking around the house, it was a nice place, cozy for just a cabin in the mountains but it had everything you needed or could possibly need to live up here.

"So, what the hell do you want? You come to rob me, huh?" The man began interrogating Simon but had his hands raised as if already expecting to be robbed. Simon felt his childhood coming back to him as he looked at the man and gently shook his head. "No...its cold and I Needed a place for shelter, figured either the cold or you would kill me and I'd rather die to a bullet than the cold." Simon said softly, he was a soft spoken fella, that was for certain.

The man's expression changed and he relaxed a bit "Good, cause well we keep getting robbed-" the man stated as he sat down at the table and as he did the front door swung open. The man paid it almost no attention at first as if he was expecting someone but it got Simon's attention alright as he looked at the door. A woman came in, dressed in full winter clothes with a coat and a scarf around her head, she must have been out hunting Simon reckoned as the man stood up now from the table too. "Whoee, it is cold out there- who are you?" She quickly aimed her repeater at Simon and naturally Simon raised his hands a little to silently protest his innocence.

"Just here to help." The man said now speaking to the woman. "Whats going on? I dont trust drifters not a one of 'em." The woman said keeping her gun pointed at Simon as her brown eyes flicked between Simon and this man who let him in. It wasn't obvious but Simon had pretty much pieced together they must be together out here, married even perhaps. "We got to trust somebody Sadie." The man stated, at least now Simon knew one of their names and of course it was of the woman who currently had a gun aimed at him ready to kill him for the slightest wrong move.

Sadie sighed and lowered her gun albeit reluctantly and walked towards Simon now, she may have been a woman but she was damn intimidating right now. "Well, I better be able to trust you, because I swear, if you try to rob us or steal from us...I'll kill you, I don't care what he says." Sadie had said almost grumpily and sounding pissed off. Simon didnt know what to even say, so he turned back to the man now as Sadie had gone to their bed to presumably change or something, he wasn't going to look, he wanted to live still, as he began to relax a little now that he wasn't in danger of dying. The man chuckled "Quite a woman, my wife...so, we lost our wagon, think it was stolen and I'm scared to go out looking incase this place gets robbed. But I will pay, decently and we will give you food and warmth if you need it too. Its over near Lake Isabella." The man said as he had sat down at the table now and spoke to Simon.

Sadie came back over now having taken her coat off and the scarf off her head, it was more clear to see her features now, her dirty blonde hair, luscious and long, and her and the man seemed like a decent couple, they reminded Simon of his parents in a way and he nodded. "We really would appreicate the help." Sadie said as she had a seat at the table and began cleaning her rifle, "Sure would, be safe now." The man said getting up from the table and waving Simon off a bit. Simon nodded and before leaving he spoke "Thank you, and my name is Simon...I'll get the wagon back." He said as he wanted to help these fine, decent folk, he spoke softly as always but with a hint of sadness, it was clear this place and Sadie and her husband were reminding him of the life he had as a child and he quickly exited the house closimg the door and began to ride for Lake Isabella to find this couple's wagon.
