The beginning of the end

(Hey y'all, been a long time and I apologise but busy University life is hitting and tiring me out. But here's the next part to my fanfic that I am so proud of with almost 900 views!?! Crazy, so please enjoy and thank you all. Stay safe outlaws)

In the aftermath of the O'Driscolls attack on camp as well as poor Kierans death. The gang buried him someplace nice close to camp but not too close nor too far. However the gang had to move on with things now, So Dutch had gone into Town with Lenny and were waiting on Arthur to meet with them for this robbery of the train station.

Around the middle of the morning, Arthur went and met with them in some alleyway close to the station. "Took you long enough, Arthur." Dutch said standing up now with Lenny following as they began walking out the alleyway. "What's the plan Dutch?" Arthur asked to which Dutch turned his head to look at him. "This is it Arthur, we just need money and then we can get on a boat and go somewhere away from here like Austrailia or farming Mangoes in Tahiti.."

"Where the hell is Tahiti...who lives there..?" Arthur asked as they approached the door of the train station now. "Tahitians, I guess..now come on, lets do this.." Dutch said equipping his bandana now as Arthur and Lenny did the same before drawing their revolvers and bursting into the train station.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a robbery! Get down on the ground and dont try anything stupid!" Dutch yelled as he walked over to the office clerk and began barking orders. He told Lenny to check the other clerk office which was unmanned, Arthur was to collect the few citizens collectables whilst Dutch made surw the clerk unlocled the gate to the office he was in.

Once it was unlocked, Arthur headed inside and forced the clerk to open the little safe in the office. Dutch looked over at Lenny "How's it lookin' over there??" Dutch asked. "There's nothing here..just a few coins and a dollar bill.." Arthur then got his side open as well and grumbled "Same here, its just a few notes maybe $50 but thats it."

Dutch grumbled being visibly frustrated "That son of a bitch set us up!" He yelled as Lenny saw Lawmen approaching and fast outside. "We gotta go, boss!" Lenny yelled as Dutch grumbled again and the three men fled the train station having to jump onto a tram in the city to try flee the lawmen in hot pursuit. However the brakes on the tram were faulty and soon...

CRASH!!!!

The whole tram tipped over completely and was wrecked sending the men flying around inside it. The men managed to make it out after a few seconds but had to shoot their way out of town now and Dutch was unable as he had hit his head so hard in the crash that he was sewing triple.

A mass shootout ensued between the three men and the law as they made their way through town and eventually found a wagon which Dutch and Lenny climbed on the front to drive it and Arthur got in the back still shooting as they drove away and fled town. After an intense few minutes, they managed to escape and lose the law once they left town where they then split the take with Arthur counting.

"Well, we each got $15...oh, and a quarter...dont forget the quarter..." Arthur said handing money to Dutch. "Oh shut up Arthur, lets get back to camp." He said as Lenny began driving the wagon back to camp and Arthur found his own way there.

Not long after the failed robbery set up by Bronte, Dutch immediately began plotting some kind of revenge against Bronte however he never admitted to it, always disguising it as "Bronte runs the town with him in the way we cant rob the bank." Excuse which the gang members believed or well, most of them. A day or two after the failed robbery, Dutch set out with Arthur to organise a boat and a boatman who would take them to Bronte's mansion to kill him. And the day after that was done, the men set out for it.

They snuck up to the back of Bronte's mansion and hopped over the low wall near the water. They then made their way to the house and began shooting, killing every single one of Bronte's men in their sight and eventually capturing Bronte himself. As they were leaving though however they of course captured the laws attention from all the shooting. However, they managed to get away and Dutch eventually killed Bronte in the boat by drowning him and then dumping his body into the water for the alligators to eat. This caused alot of surprise to the gang members with him at the time but most of all John And Arthur who were definitely the most surprised by this sadistic change and act by Dutch.

A few days later, the gang was pretty much ready to hit the town bank. Hosea had done all the scouting along with some of the women and they knew the guards routines, shift changes, and how many lawmen and workers their were in the bank. As Arthur arrived Dutch and Hosea were busy discussing how to rob the bank.

"I guess...im just nervous..." Dutch muttered looking at the plan with Hosea as Arthur walked in. "I've done all the work Dutch, we can do this but I reckon its better we hit it in the day..what do you think Arthur?" Hosea said looking up at Arthur now.

"Well Hosea said hes done all the work so if he thinks the day is best, then I say we hit it in the day." Arthur said looking at Dutch.

Dutch sighed and eventually agreed "Okay, lets go hit this bastard!" Later that day, Abigail, John, Dutch, Hosea, Bill, Lenny, Arthur, Charles and Micah went to go and rob the bank. The plan was simple, Abigail and Hosea would create a distraction on the other side of town to lure the law away so the rest of the men could enter the bank with ease and rob it.

Once they were all in Saint Denis the men stood and waited for about 15 minutes before a huge explosion went off on the other side of town. "Haha, I love that Hosea!" Dutch yelled at the men seeing it with them befoee they went and entered the bank and the robbery began.

After a few minutes however things went very south, the law had returned to the bank along with the Pinkertons. "We got trouble!" Lenny yelled as they all went towards the windows now. Agent Milton was outside and holding Hosea hostage...

"Mr Van Der Linde, you come out right now, I've got your friend." Milton exclaimed at the gang inside.

"Mr Milton, How about we make a deal-" Dutch started saying "That time has passed, Mr Van Der Linde...you had tour chance..now.." Milton said letting Hosea go, Hosea took a few nervous steps forward and turned to look back at Milton before...

BANG!!

Milton shot him, square in the chest, Hosea clutched his chest and his body slowly fell to the ground in the street...Dead...

"Hosea!!" Dutch yelled to no response "Goddammit, Kill each and everyone of these bastards!!" He yelled and broke a window as a huge shootout began. The front of the bank was totally surrounded and there was no visible way out so they decuded to use some leftover dynamite and blew the wall of the bank open before going uo to the roof one by one. Sadly, John got arrested as the Pinkertons took control of the bank. The men began looking for a way away from the bank over the rooftops and began following Lenny.

"We can get across this way!" Lenny yelled as a door burst open and two Pinkerton agents burst out the door and shot him dead as well. The gang took a few seconds to mourn him but knew rhey had to keep moving so they kept running. Eventually the gang holed up in a building for the day waiting till night before trying to leave since they were trapped in town. Their escape plan was a ship. Once night arrived the men snuck around carefully to a boat, Charles even sacrificing himself to lure Pinkertons away and have them chase him so the rest of the gang could make it onto the boat.

They made it, and soon the boat left. The next day as they were all hidden amonsgt the cargo on the deck of the ship, Dutch decided to bribe the captain into taking them with him to wherever the boat was headed using the gold they robbed from the bank. However as the days passed, one night Arthur was sleeping and was awoken by Dutch and a series of yelling...as if things couldnt get any worse...but a storm had hit the ship...

(Slightly longer than usual I know, but I wanted to get the gang to Guarma area so that next part can have alot of focus on Sadie and Simon and the others in camp still since that side of the story is unexplained in the game and only we get told bits of pieces when the gang gets back from Guarma, I am also not going to write the guarma story because its hella boring really ToT. Anywho I know its quite a dark and depressing part but I hope you enjoyed it. I look forward to writing the next part when I get a chance!)
