Rolling my eyes, I grabbed the red cup from Louis' hand before walking away from the group. I tried to keep a blatant face, but once my back was all they saw, I couldn't stop the smile spreading on my lips. My chest flattered as I made my way to the front door. A few people were out, and I didn't mind spending time with them. If anything, I was feeling like making new friends. My old friends didn't look that good next to me and didn't make me feel good - that was a problem.

"Mel, what happened between you and Harry?" Aiden said somewhere from behind me, making me roll my eyes at her.

I dropped the smile from my face and sat down on the steps. Aiden quickly sat next to me, and the first thing she did was take the cup off my hand. I furrowed my brows at her action as she looked at the top of my head, gulping.

"Nothing, I hate his guts!" I voiced the default answer before getting my cup back from her. However, that response wasn't enough to make her fully believe me, so I added some context, "He punched Kai, and I just wanted to talk with him. Clearly not a good idea, as you can see."

She shook her head, pulling the cup away from me while I was about to sip from the mystery surprise alcohol. Then, she turned to me. Her hands grabbed mine, and she gave me her motherly facial expression.

"He's not worth relapsing—''

"I'm not relapsing, Aiden!" I cut her off. My brows furrowed as all the happiness drifted away from my body. "It's just a lapse. It's for one night only! You didn't expect me to throw a party and stay sober, did you?" I questioned before pulling away my hands from under hers.

Something in her eyes shifted, making me realize how my voice came out. I didn't mean for it to come out this harsh. I just wanted to get over the topic and go back to having fun.

"Melanie, what the fuck is wrong with you!" she spat before standing up from her spot. The softness disappeared from her eyes. "Call me when you fix your attitude because even though I care for you, I'm not going to put myself through that," Her hands moved around me before she opened the door.

I looked over my shoulder to get one more glimpse at Aiden when I noticed Aria was standing by the door. The black-haired bombshell waved at Aiden, making her hiss and slam the door. I flinched at the loud sound as it echoed in my head for a miniature or two.

"Brought you something stronger. Seems like you need it after Harry," Aria raised the bottle of Vodka with a slight smile on her pretty face.

My mouth watered as I watched her slowly sit down beside me and pop the bottle open. Vodka wasn't fun - it made me mean and sad. Fuck, but did it look scrumptious in her hands...

"So, spill, did you fuck on the bathroom sink?" Aria's voice made me look away from the bottle. She raised her brows at me with a cigarette between her red lips and a lighter in hand.

A smile was making its way to my face, which I tried to fight back. The memory of his lips on my skin made a chill go down my spine. I flinched, trying not to giggle about it.

"I like your halo," she mumbled, and I managed to catch only the end of it. I licked my lips with the taste of his still being on them as I widened my eyes at her. She had to believe I was listening to her because I was great at pretending.

When her eyes dropped from the top of my head to my eyes, a smug smile spread on her lips, "Who gave it to you?"

I froze. Thinking was a thing I could barely do sober, and now it was a goddamn challenge. Nothing seemed wrong. Nothing felt wrong. My hand went up to my head as I felt the feathers of my headpiece. I bought it at... I bought it. It was my halo. No one gave it to me. With bafflement taking over my head, I looked down at my red dress. I kept thinking about where I had bought it from.
