[Melanie]
Harry gripped my wrist harshly, pulling me to the other end of the room. My eyes stayed on Aiden as she watched me intensely. Sorry could've been read out of her eyes as her manic boyfriend ruined the night for all of us. I knew it would happen. However, I wish it happened before Aiden confronted me about Harry and that goddamn earring.
"Why are you this bitter!" I yelled, pushing his hand off me as I stood a few steps away from him.
He raised his brows at me as if I was the one that made a scene. I didn't expect him to be on his best behavior, but at least I thought he'd keep his mouth shut while Aiden and Kai were around us. However, he didn't care, and God forbid something could've slipped through his mouth that would've ruined both relationships.
"Melanie, are you fucking stupid?" he answered with a question, "You are together with Kai, even though I told you he is bad news!"
I laughed at how ridiculous he was, "You didn't expect me to break up with my boyfriend just because you are..."
"Choose your next words very carefully," he warned through gritted teeth, taking a step forward.
"Or what?" I raised my head, clutching my jaw.
Harry couldn't scare me. I had enough on him just as much as he did, and one voice recording, and he would be behind bars. So, if anyone had to choose their words carefully, it was Harry.
"Or you'd wish you listened to me like a good girl and broke up with him when I told you to," he breathed out. The hot air hit my face, only making my blood boil faster.
I scoffed, turning my head to look at the newspaper-covered wall. "God, you are so unbelievable," I muttered under my breath, massaging my temple before I turned to face him. I kept my voice steady as I talked to him, keeping the urge to scream in his face under control, "Do you know what just happened? Aiden knows we've been seeing each other, and I had to lie to her again. You made things hard enough for me, and if only you could've controlled your goddamn anger and jealousy, she wouldn't have had to confront me about it. If only you played nice for just one goddamn night!"
Aiden knew something was happening. My lie was risky enough, and if she learned Harry and I slept together, I would lose her forever. She would be heartbroken, not only because it was my unfaithfulness but Harry's, too. She didn't deserve to go through this.
Harry sneered, "So, what, you're sorry? You weren't sorry for Aiden while we were fucking."
"You are so fucking disgusting," I frowned. "How could you do this to the person you love? To the person you are supposed to love," I asked, desperate to see at least a flinch of emotion to continue this fight. However, Harry didn't say anything, and it was enough for me to get the hint - he didn't care for anyone but himself. And trying to talk some sense into him was pointless.
