The morning sun shined down on Ron, making his unhealthy state clear to any observers.
Although Ron believed there was no one watching, only the trees on the side of the road. He was on his way to the sanctuary, unaware there was a price on his head over there.
He had to get up before the sun so Carl wouldn't stop him.
He didn't want to sneak around his husband, or concern him, but his people needed him, he believed.

The sanctuary was his ultimate destination, but he had a stop to make first.
He had to get Lucille.
Even if he was upset with Negan, he had promised he wouldn't leave her out there. He had been thinking a lot about negan. The two needed to talk, he believed. A real talk.

He sighed in annoyance, looking down the street where Lucille was left. It was crawling with walkers, and they would surely follow him when he left.

He walked down the street to where Negan claimed Lucille was, about five walkers following him already.

Sure enough, the bat laid there on the ground next to a crashed car that had been Negans.
Ron picked up Lucille, inspecting her for a moment. The burns on her were only superficial, and wouldn't mess with the performance of the bat. He looked at for another moment, thinking of the story Rick and Carl had told him.

Negan had always acted as though the bat was really alive. He'd call it "she" and "her," and Ron guessed he picked that up too. Lucille was her own person in his mind, the bat still separated from Negans late wife.
What was the real Lucille like, he wondered?
Was she truly as great as Negan says?

Dwight approached Alexandria's gate, making sure he didn't look hostile. He most certainly wasn't here to cause any harm.

"Put your hands up!" Michonne demanded, her gun aimed at him.
He did as she said, "I'm not here to cause trouble. I'm here to help." he explained himself.

"Help how?" She asked.

"Is Ron in there? I need to talk to him. It's bad." He said, not sure how to explain it to her.
"He's gone. Don't know where he went. Why do you need him?" She said, her gun still aimed at him.

"It's the saviors. Simon lied to them about Ron and now they all hate him. They'll shoot him just as soon as looking at him. He doesn't know that though." Dwight said, his hands still up.

"Jesus. Come in." Michonne said, opening the gate more and allowing him to enter.

She led him to Rick and Carl, where he explained the situation once again.

"We have to go find him." Carl said, getting up.
"We don't know where he is." Rick said.
"He's probably going to the sanctuary." Dwight added.

"We have to stop him! They'll kill him dad!" Carl exclaimed, in tears at the thought.
"I know. I know. I'll gather some people for a search group." Rick said, getting up and not wasting any time.

Ron looked down at his feet as he walked, watching as the asphalt passed by.
He had lost the majority of the walkers, and only two still followed him.
He looked back at the two, wondering what it was that attracted them to him. They didn't want to eat him, so why'd they just like being near him? It was weird, but mostly annoying.

Looking back at his feet, he heard something strange behind him. Something familiar, but seemingly impossible.
He turned around quickly to confirm his suspicions, and sure enough, he saw Shiva eating the two walker that had been following him.

"Shiva? Ezekiel?!" Ron called out, looking for the cats owner.
There was no sign of Ezekiel or anyone from the kingdom anywhere.
After the walkers were dead, Shiva approached Ron, nuzzling her head on him like he had seen her do with Ezekiel before.
