Rick held a plate of food in one hand while he opened the basement door with the other. He was on his way to feed Negan and tell him his decision on if he would be allowed to come to Carl and Ron's wedding. Usually Ron was responsible for taking care of Negan, but he was busy this morning.

"Good morning, Rick!" Negan exclaimed with a smile as Rick entered the room. The door of his cell was open wide, but he was still sitting inside. Ricks face immediately went to one of anger upon seeing the open cell. "Did Ron do this? Did he just leave your door open?" He asked, obviously unhappy.

"No. Someone else did. He doesn't even have a key." He informed him. Rick set the plate down on the floor and put his hands on his hips. Without a word, he searched him and the room for any weapons. "You didn't leave? Why? What's your angle? This isn't going to make me trust you." He declared upon finding no weapons.

"Look Rick." He said as he stood up. "Don't move." He ordered him. "Ok. I'm not trying to prove anything to you. And I'm sure as hell not trying to impress you with how well trained I am. I'm not your dog. But you and me both know I'm not going anywhere without him. Without Ron. And he's not going anywhere without Carl. If I'm reading this all right, then Carl probably isn't going anywhere without you. So as long as you're here, so am I." He explained his reasoning for not running away.

"You think I believe that? You already ran away with that boy once. Why would I believe the two of you aren't planning something else?" He replied. "You know what they say. Actions speak louder than words. I didn't leave, did I? I know there's nothing I can say to get you to trust me." He said.

"I remember your actions. I know who you are. Unfortunately Ron seems to believe your words instead. I think this little stunt is just part of your plan. You think this'll help you manipulate me, or Carl maybe? I couldn't hope to know what happens in your mind." He didn't look very happy. "I get it. You don't trust me. I don't expect you to. It's fine." He replied quietly. "I don't. I don't think I ever will." He finished.

"You're so cute." Ron smiled softly at Carl. "Shut up." Carl laughed, blushing. The two were lying unclothed in bed, their arms and legs wrapped around each other.
"You love it." He whispered, kissing on his neck. "I love you. But I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to see each other until we're getting married." He pointed out the old superstition. "Well we're already married so it doesn't really count, right?" He asked quietly, running his hand down his back. "I hope so." He leaned in and kissed him deeply.

He sat up after their kiss. He pushed the blankets off of his naked body, his hair messy from sleeping. He rubbed his eye before he looked over to see the big smile on Ron's face.
