Chapter 22
Chelsea walked back to the front desk with her keys and purse in hand.
"You're leaving," Liana asked her.
"Of course. Why are you still sitting there. It's after 5."
Liana checked her phone just to make sure. "You're right," she said dryly. "I guess I'm a little distracted," she rubbed her eyes.
"You've been like that since you came back from that meeting with Dylan's lawyer. Did everything go all right in there."
"Something along those lines. Did they come out the room yet." She's dying to know what decision has been made.
"I took a peek in there and they still haven't moved. I hope that that hotel get what they deserve."
"I do too." Especially for putting her into this situation she's in. She's had the perfect condition of health, well at least for her it has been, until now.
Chelsea waited for her while she clocked out.
"My dad has some extra work that he has to catch up on so he'll probably be here until closing. I'm stuck having to go get my sister from school."
"It's pretty late for her to still be at school, isn't it."
"She likes to stay after school on Friday's to watch the swim meets. And peep this," she laughed. "She just admitted that she has a boyfriend that's on the team. I should have known because before this year she didn't even like watching swim competitions."
"Do you know who this guy is."
"Not yet. Brittany is so secretive. She didn't even want to tell my family that she has a boyfriend, but he wants to meet my parents so she had no choice. Since my dad can't make it he's sending me in his place. I'm going to take them out for pizza."
Chelsea smiled brightly at her and grabbed her hands. "Do you want to do me a favor."
"Depending on what this favor is," Liana squeezed her hands.
"I know you're tired, but I don't want to meet whoever this guy is by myself."
"Well pizza does sound really good right now."
Chelsea jumped up and down. "Yayyy! Let's go. We'll take my car. I'll have you back here before nightfall."
______________________________Chelsea called her sister and put her on speaker.
"Brittany I'm out front-"
"About time," she hung up.
Chels put her phone back into her purse. "I can't wait until I see what this guy looks like."
"I can't wait to see what both of them look like."
"Here comes my sister right now," she pointed.
Brittany looks the complete opposite of Chelsea. She has straight blonde hair in a ponytail. She has large framed glasses on and bright red daring lipstick. She's gorgeous and has nice style.
She ran over to the car.
"Hey my little sister of mine. Where is that boyfriend that I'm dying to see."
"He's coming," she blushed. "He's trying to call his brother. Again! Can you believe that he promised us pizza and can't even pick up his phone."
"This is Liana, Brittany. You remember me telling you about her right."
She waved at Liana. "I heard about you today at school. Glad to see that you're doing good."
Has everyone heard about her. She feels like she has become an overnight celebrity.
