Chapter 23

Anthony met Dylan in the locker room.

"Hey Dylan I got your text. I sent the video to your email."

"Thanks."

Dylan rushed home without thinking. He needed to get to his computer fast.

He had asked Anthony how had he found out about Liana's health history. He told him that she had revealed it in her interview.

Anthony had it recorded so that is what he's about to watch.

Once he sat in his house comfortably on his couch, he watched the interview over and over.

She has really had a tough life. She hides it so well. He would have never known from the way she smiles and her genuine personality.

What was she thinking to show up to work today. And did she really say that they aren't dating? Is that how she feels.

A knock on his door broke his attention.

He is relieved for the distraction.

At the door is none other than April.

"Wow! I had no idea that you knew how to find your way to my house," he joked.

"Well surprise, I do."

"I am still shocked," he laughed. "I invited you to my housewarming party, thanksgiving dinner, and much more. You never showed up so I figured that maybe you got lost. Not that you didn't want to see me."

"Dylan I told you that I was busy on those days and I apologized many times," she laughed. "Of course I would never avoid you purposely. Now are you going to let me in or make me stand out here."

He opened the door further to let her in.

"You have a nice home," she said eyeing the place. "It looks like some thing your grandmother would decorate."

"She did."

April smiled. "I knew it. You don't have this good of a taste."

He found himself smiling back at her. "So what brings you here."

"I wanted to talk over the agreements that we're signing. And I also wanted to discuss the money situation."

"Have you eaten yet."

"No."

"Well let's continue this conversation in the kitchen. We can discuss it all over a good dinner."

While eating, April told him everything he needed to know.

"That's a lot of money."

"I know right, but their filthy rich billionaires. That kind of money means nothing to them."

"I'm just trying to figure out how to tell Liana about this. I don't think she will want to hear it."

At the mention of Liana's name the mood kind of shifted slightly.

April distractedly looked at the decorations on the wall as she said, "Liana seems to be an interesting person. Do you like her-"

"Without a doubt. She's beautiful, isn't she," he smiled.

April smiled for a second then rolled her eyes.

Dylan laughed. "What was that for?"

She tapped her lips for a moment as she debated on what to say next. "She doesn't seem like your type."
