Weeks later:
Cedric & I exited the Three Broomsticks, we were going to head back to Hogwarts. We walked down the stone pathway that was now covered in snow.
"What the hell..." I said, once my eyes laid on a girl floating in the air making a T shape with her body. I came up behind this group of four other kids as the girl slammed onto the floor.
Cedric grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer to him. The girl began twitching on the floor.
"Don't go any closer!" A man bellowed from behind us. We all snapped our necks around to see Hagrid marching toward us. "Get back! All of you!" Hagrid picked up the girl off the floor and began to carry her bridal style.
I looked to the boy next to me only to see my brother. We both exchanged glances of fury. I grabbed Cedric's hand and led him away from the situation, past Hagrid. I was not going to get involved in anything with my brother.

It was now Monday. It's been weeks since Draco and I have even said a word to each other, Cedric and I have gotten closer, Harry and I are still in a feud, and Mattheo is like my best friend. Everyone here at Hogwarts still glared at me as if I were the school's psycho.
I was on my way to potions class. I had to use the restroom, but I knew Snape would loose his shit if I was late.
I sighed as I entered the Potions room. I hated having to share most of my classes with the Gryffindor students.
I went ahead and sat down next to Mattheo in the back of the class. Professor Snape immediately started his lesson once I had sat down. I zoned out, which I typically do. I always rely on Mattheo to know whats going on, which he didn't seem to mind even though I'd apologize relentlessly for it.
"Your ingredients should be behind your cauldrons." Professor Snape sneered, "Begin! But I want Miss Potter to switch seats with Mister Goyle!"
I scoffed, "Why?"
"Because I don't trust that you actually know what's going on in my class Miss Potter." Professor Snape treated my name as if it were a slur, "Mister Riddle is your friend; he'd never tell me that you aren't paying attention. But Mister Malfoy here, would tell me all I need to know. Is that understood Miss Potter?"
"Yeah. Sure." I stood up and grabbed my books that were on the table in front of me. I then headed over to the front of the classroom where Malfoy was seated. I dropped the books on the table and he glared at me for doing so.
Professor Snape really knew how to push my buttons. I grabbed the bag of ingredients that was behind the cauldron and I did my best to act like I knew what I was doing. I honestly felt embarrassed that Snape lectured me like that in front of the whole class.
I tried watching Draco from the corner of my eye to see what he was doing. He was great with potions and I was desperate.
I did pretty good with copying him. He was chopping up some root. He chopped up three pieces and put them in the cauldron. So, I did too.
"I know that you're copying me, Potter." He put his knife down on his cutting board.
Back to last names?
"I've told you before not to call me Potter." I replied blankly, not even acknowledging what he said. He rolled his eyes at me and continued chopping his root. "How do you know that I'm copying you?" I whispered, chopping my root as well.
"I was testing it." He answered, "You actually need six slices of the root, but I only put three in just to see if you'd do the same."
"Oh."
"You know, maybe if you paid attention, you wouldn't need to annoyingly rely on other people for help." He jeered, "You should hear how Mattheo talks about it."
My heart dropped. I stopped chopping my root and I slowly looked Malfoy in the face. "He talks shit about me?"
The cold stare on his face quickly changed to guilt. A look I never thought I'd see on him. "No. I was over exaggerating. I'm...I'm sorry."
