"This is Mippy." Said Narcissa coming from the hallway she exited from before, "She will take you up to Draco's room."

"Thank you, ma'am." said Eva, going over to the short, pointy-eared creature who wore a potato sack as clothing. She looked up at Evangeline and had big, bulging blue eyes.

Eva gave her a warm smile. Somehow, her eyes grew even bigger than before. She turned her head and began to lead Evangeline to Draco's room.

After passing a couple of hallways in silence, Eva asks the elf, taking notice of the fact she looked anxious. "Are you alright, Mippy?"

"Yes ma'am." She replied without bothering to look at Eva. Her voice was very squeaky and mouse-like.

They finally reached a door in the middle of a hallway. It took them a while to get here. Mippy stopped, stood on her tip toes and knocked three times. "Master Draco? You have a visitor."

The door opened and Eva's heart skipped a beat. She was excited to see him, but didn't exactly understand why. Or maybe she just didn't want to. After all, he's just a good friend of hers.

His face lit up when he saw Eva, "Come in." He made room for her to step into his bedroom.

She turned around to face Mippy, who was about to walk away. "Thank you, Mippy."

She faced Eva with a puzzled look, which then turned into a gentle smile. She put her head down and left.

Draco shut the door. "Why did you thank a house-elf?"

"What even is a house-elf?"

"It's a magical being that...works for a master or multiple masters."

"They get paid?"

"No."

"What? So they're slaves?"

"I guess, but they like it."

"Well, Mippy doesn't seem very happy." She crossed her arms.

"Trust me, if I were to even offer her freedom, she'd take it offensively. Elves like being 'enslaved.'"

She glares at him.

"Ev-"

She rolled her eyes and strutted over to his bed and plopped down. "Are you at least nice to Mippy?"

"You don't need to be nice to a house-elf, Evangeline."

"They're clearly sentient beings! Of course you do!"

"Okay. Okay." He completely disagreed with Eva, but didn't wanna argue with her. If she wants him to be nice to something that is entirely below him, fine.

She rolled her eyes and then let herself fall backward onto his satin black sheets.
