"This is Mippy." Said Narcissa coming from the hallway she exited from before, "She will take you to Draco's room."

"Thank you, ma'am." I said, going over to the short, pointy-eared creature who wore a potato sack as clothing. She looked up at me and had big, bulging blue eyes.

I smiled at her. Somehow, her eyes grew even bigger than before and she turned her head and began to walk. I followed her.

"Are you alright?" I asked, taking notice of the fact she looked anxious.

"Yes ma'am." She replied without looking at me. Her voice was very squeaky and mouse-like.

"What are you exactly?"

I couldn't see Mippy's face directly, but from what I could see, she looked offended. "I'm a house-elf, silly."

A house-elf?

"You're a Greengrass. You should know." She stated.

"Right. That's my mistake."

I really hope this doesn't blow my cover.

We reached a door in the middle of a hallway. It took us a while to get here. Mippy stopped, stood on her tip toes and knocked three times. "Master Draco? You have a visitor."

The door opened. My heart skipped a beat. I guess I was really excited to see him. After all, he's a good friend.

His face lit up when he looked at me, "Come in." He made room for me to step into his bedroom.

I turned around to face Mippy, who was about to walk away. "Thank you, Mippy."

She faced me and had a puzzled look, which then turned into a gentle smile. She put her head down and left.

Draco shut the door. "Why did you thank a house-elf?"

"What even is a house-elf?"

"It's a magical being that...works for a master or multiple masters."

"They get paid?"

"No."

"What? So they're slaves?"

"I guess, but they like it."

"Well, Mippy doesn't seem very happy." I crossed my arms.

"Trust me, if I were to even offer her freedom, she'd take it offensively. Elves like being 'enslaved.'"

I glared at Draco.

"Ev-"

I rolled my eyes and strutted over to his bed and plopped down. "Are you at least nice to Mippy?"

"You don't need to be nice to a house-elf, Evangeline."

"They're creatures with thoughts and feelings! Of course you do!"

Draco's Pov:

"Okay. Okay." I totally disagreed with Eva, but I didn't wanna argue with her. If she wants me to be nice to something that is entirely below me, fine.

She rolled her eyes and then let herself fall backward onto my black sheets.
