I entered Cedric's house. Cedric stood in front of me holding onto both his & mine luggage. A slightly chubby man, but was warm and welcoming, grabbed the luggage from Cedric's hands and set it down next to the door. I shut the door behind me as Amos Diggory embraced his son. "Welcome home, son." Smiled Mr. Diggory. Cedric stepped to the side to let his dad greet me.

I put on a big smile and put my hand out for him to shake, "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Diggory."

His smile dropped once he looked at me. He still shook my hand, but he kept his eyes on my scar. "Why don't you two have a seat on the couch. I'll make us all a cup of tea." He suggested before he made his way to the kitchen.

I followed Cedric to the leather couch and sat next to him, crossing my legs. "You alright?" Asked Cedric, quietly.

"I'm nervous." I whispered back.

"You have nothing to be nervous about."

Amos entered the living room and placed two cups of tea on the coffee table in front of Cedric & I. I thanked him and picked up the white and blue teacup to take a sip. I jumped back a little in shock because the heat nipped my tongue.

"You okay?" Asked Cedric.

I nodded, "Yeah." I placed the teacup back on the saucer. "It's just a little hot."

Amos clicked his tongue, "My apologies. I should have said something."

"No worries." I continued to smile.

"Well." Amos put both his hands on his knees as he sat down in a seat in front of us. "Evangeline Potter, correct?"

"Yes." I replied.

"It's really you?"

"Yes, sir."

"Everyone thought you had died."

"Yes. I'm not sure why. It was only recently that my brother decided to inform the Hogwarts Headmaster that I was alive." I explained.

Amos raised his eyebrows, "Well...the rumors say you could be an inferi."

I kept the smile on my face, "I can assure you that I am no inferi. If I was, I would be more zombie-like."

"That's a muggle reference." He stated.

"Zombie?"

"Yes. The dead being alive without magic. Zombies. That's a muggle fairytale."

"Oh. Right. I'm sorry."

"Now how can I trust that you are no alluring vampire trying to get in with my son?"

Cedric interrupted me, "Dad?"

"What?!" Amos was now being defensive.

"Those rumors aren't true."

"Well it doesn't make a lot of sense that all of a sudden she just exists!" Argued Amos, "If she'd been alive this whole time and living with Harry Potter, wouldn't he have said something years ago?!"

"Dad!"

I stood up from the couch quickly, "I have to use the restroom."

Cedric pointed to an archway that led to a dark hall, "Over there."

Once I went behind the wall of the archway I overheard Amos say, "I'm just trying to look after you son-"

"The rumors are just rumors."

"What if they're not? Maybe she's a veela-"

"Dad. Listen to how ridiculous that is."

I sighed.
