Polar Opposites (Draco Malfoy)

"I'd rather just go back to Hogwarts." I explained.

"Okay, well I can take you tomorrow on my broomstick." Said Cedric.

"No, it's okay. I can probably just owl a friend."

"Are you mad at me?"

"No. You didn't do anything wrong."

"Well, okay. You can use my owl." He stood up from his bed that the both of us were sitting on and opened a drawer in the desk that sat by his window. He took out a piece of paper, an envelope and a pen for me and motioned with his hand for me to go over there and write.

I sat down in the chair as he sat back down in his bed.

Dear Draco,

I was wondering if, by any chance, you'd be able to take me back to Hogwarts. I'm at Cedric's, and I wanna leave. Things happened and I'm not welcome here. I just thought I would ask you. I'm sorry.

I folded up the piece of parchment and slid it into an envelope. Cedric's owl was in a cage next to the desk. I opened its cage and gave the owl the letter, it took it with its beak. I then, opened the window for the owl and it flew off into the distance.

It took a couple hours for me to get a response, but Cedric's owl flew through the window and dropped the letter on my lap. Cedric was in the lavatory right now.

Dear Evangeline,

Sure. I won't be leaving until the 25th though for the Yule Ball.

A few rules though:

-You are Daphne & Astoria Greengrass' cousin

Draco's address was written at the bottom. I stood up from where I was and began to feed Cedric's owl.

He came back into the room and I told him I'd be going to my friend's. He embraced me in a hug, "Be safe." After a brief moment, he let go of me, "Would you want to go to the Yule Ball with me?"

I smiled, "I'll see you there."
