Dear Mother Nature

Mother nature,
You make me smile
You make me shake
You make me curse your name
Again and again.
You make me feel
At peace with you,
Then you turn into somebody
I never knew.
I never knew you were capable of this
And I didn't think that you'd do it again.
But there you go with your lightning strikes
And I feel like I might
Have a heart attack.

When I was a younger my hometown was hit by a really bad hurricane. I wrote this poem when my college town was in danger of being hit by another one. I was scared to experience that again and this was my way of exploring they way I felt about nature after all it was done.
