(I did have another chapter up before this but I decided just to merge the two. Enjoy~!)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you arose, you did so in a daze.
Your head was pounding fiercely.
The room was dark, save for the faint hint of blueish light coming from the other side of a one-way mirror. Unable to see just what was on the other side as it reflected this one. Fuzzy vision slowly fuzing together as solid images. You looked around as you tried to basically understand the universe all over again; feeling much confusion from not knowing what exactly happened prior to this.
The room was virtually empty. Made entirely of cement, save for the glass in the wall. There was no furniture, no objects laying anywhere. Just a hook on the ceiling in between two lightbulbs, and two silhouettes by the other wall, and a metal door.
Squinting as you strained to make out the identity of the other two who were slumping over in the corner, you tried to recap your moments prior.
You remembered Alastor dropping you off, and saying goodbye.
Then walking up to your house with your bags and coming inside.
Called out to them and was met with silence, you turned the corner, and...
"Mom?" You asked quietly. "Dad?"
"Shh~!" A voice said gently.
You blinked a couple of times, desperately trying to see better but to no avail.
"Don't let them know you're awake." Another warned in a whisper.
"It is you?" You whispered.
Instinctively you went to raise a hand to soothe the soreness of your head, only to find that your wrists were bound tightly behind your back. Holding back a gasp as fear had begun to trickle back slowly, realizing the gravity of your situation as confusion dwindled away.
"What is happening?" You asked lowly. "Why are we here?"
"Y/n, we told somebody about the deal." Your father confessed. Even trying to keep his voice down, you could hear the guilt ridden within it.
He... did what?
"Why would you do that??" You sneered, yelling all the while at a whisper level. You could feel your face warming with anger, which did nothing to help the ache in your skull. "You knew there'd be consequences if you did that!! What, did you think the fucking mob was just bluffing?!"
"He wasn't going to let you come home," your mom reasoned.
"What?" You asked. "What on earth are you talking about?"
"He just kept raising the cost every time we got close."
"Yeah the interest rate I knew about that-"
"No, you don't understand, Y/n." She interrupted. "This was well above the rate. The more we made, the more he added on. He wasn't going to let us get you back... By any means that he could."
You sat silent, bewildered at such a concept. No way... They had to be misinformed. Out of everything he did, he did for you; and was always so kind... He wouldn't do something to hurt you like that, right?
"He wouldn't, he..." you stammered. "He let me go, he brought me back home..."
"He said we were lucky to even get those visits with you." Your mother added. "Whatever change of heart he had, we had already opened our mouths by then... it was too late..."
