"I don't want the morning to get here..."
"Why not, my dear?"
"Because when it comes, you have to leave." You sighed. Sleepiness weighing heavy in your voice as you struggled to keep your eyes open.
The LEDs were now set to a pinkish-purple, at a rather dim brightness. The color of the atmosphere making the contrast of his glowing crimson eyes stand out in abundance.
Some time had passed, the two of you had been laying in bed engaging in pillow talk. Not bothering to clothe yourselves, just laying there side by side. Kissing, smiling, giggling; you forgot things could feel this wonderful.
Alastor's hand reached up and brushed a strand of hair out of your face. Smiling sweetly as fatigue tried it's best to wrap him up in it's embrace as well. The deer mans ears lay flat against the top of his head, happily so. His tail swishing gently against the comforter that barely covered his lower half; picking up in speed occasional when you'd gently scratch his ears and around the base of his antlers.
He thought it amusing how typically he loathed- and avoided- physical touch at whatever cost. Especially after he died. However with you, he wanted nothing more than to feel you. To keep his hands on you, to keep kissing you... he could overdose on your affection and die a happy second death.
"I'd rather the sky never lighten again" you added, "if it meant I could keep you here with me."
His lips curled tighter, enhancing his loving smile. Releasing a quiet, pleasant sigh.
"If we weren't so tired I'd suggest we get up and do something." He hummed. "Just to savor the time. You have nowhere to be until tomorrow evening, and I can always just nap after my morning show."
"I'm not tired," you teased, yawning gently through your sentence. "You're tired."
The buck released another soft laugh, amused by how adorable you were. Thinking silently to himself, he ultimately decided he too was not ready for tonight to end.
Would he be exhausted come time to do his broadcast? More than likely. But that's what getting a shot of espresso in his coffee was for.
He barely got to see you today. And he wasn't quite ready to call it a night if it meant less interaction with you. Like he said, he could just nap later.
"What have you in the kitchen?" He wondered. Now propping himself up in a halfway seated position, leaning in his elbow as he brushed his floofy fringe out of his face and tried to blink away his sleepiness.
"Why?" You wondered. "Hungry?"
"Always, my dear." He snickered. Now throwing the comforter off of him getting out of the bed. "Come on. Let's go."
You sat up as well. Rubbing your eyes as he snapped his fingers- a pair of pajamas bottoms hanging loosely at his hips.
"What for?" You yawned again.
"Two AM pancakes." He chirped. Flinging your bedroom door open with gusto before waltzing right out to find your kitchen. "Come along!"
You giggled quietly to yourself, looking down the hallway in the direction of where he went. Furrowing a brow with an amused grin still decorating your face.
"I thought you didn't care for pancakes?" You wondered aloud.
"Waffles, then~!"
You rolled your eyes and shook your head. Sighing contently as you swung your feet over the side of the bed and got up.
Reaching down, you picked up Al's button up shirt and threw it on to cover yourself. Only buttoning it partway to prevent it from falling off of your form, the open front revealing part of your chest. You grabbed a clean pair of underwear and slid those on as well; before going out into the kitchen to keep your lover company.
