"Y/n?"
Alastor instantly perked up as he walked into the kitchen of the hotel. It was still early, most everyone else was either asleep or simply not ready to greet the day just yet.
Alastor had just come from doing his morning broadcasts. And needless to say, was surprised to see you- but not disappointed.
As hesitant as you both were, you bid eachother a momentary farewell after your conversation yesterday. You had to get back to work, and Alastor left as he didn't want you to get in trouble.
Angel stuck around until the end of your shift, and you decided you'd spend the night with him. Al of course had already gone home by that point since it was late, but you anticipated that.
Both you and the radio demon could hardly sleep a wink. But, in the most delightful way. Alastor was as giddy as a school boy that he had finally found you. Of course he still missed you that night, had he known you'd be going back to the hotel after your shift he would have stuck around just to see you. But when he did finally fall asleep, he had the sweetest smile on his face.
He felt like the happiest demon in Hell. Or at least... Almost.
Getting you safe was high on his priority list. But prying you from an overlord not unlike himself was not about to be an easy task.
Nevertheless, he was just overjoyed that you were around again.
You were happy too. Once the shock wore off. It was going to take a lot of work trying to undo all the mental damage that Vox did. One of the parts you hated most was that you had to play pretend that you were still going along with the lies. For a little while at least. It killed you to do so, but it beats being electrocuted.
At the same time, you and Angel stayed up late; cozy in your pajamas while you told him stories of some of the more pleasant times you and Al shared. Even he could see that you seemed happier beneath the surface. Perhaps even relieved.
But your smile and the glimmer in your eyes was enough to hint that you felt a little better now.
Angel Dust was still asleep when you crept out of his suite to go make yourself some coffee. A nice little treat to yourself while you awaited the sky to lighten outside.
You smiled tiredly as you swallowed a sip of coffee. Holding the warm mug in both hands as you lowered it and held it close to you.
It was certainly pleasant to see him so early in the morning; although you had to admit, it felt a little foreign after so long. But nonetheless, you welcomed it.
"Good morning, Alastor." You said.
The right half of his smile curled tighter. His ears flattening slightly as he felt the faintest hint of heat rising to his cheeks. He felt butterflies in his stomach. "I haven't heard that in ages."
You chuckled tiredly and nodded. "Feels weird saying it after so long, not gonna lie."
"Well it sounds like it just rolls off the tongue." He hummed. "Good morning, darling."
"Coffee?"
"Yes, please."
Alastor stepped past the threshold of the kitchen entryway and leaned against the counter. Watching quietly as you set your mug aside and went to fix him a cup for himself.
"Still an early riser, I see." You noted.
He shrugged innocently. "I still broadcast."
"I know." You smiled.
"You ever tune in?"
You gave him an awkward smirk and rolled a shoulder forward.
"Not since life." You answered. "I've heard it in passing. Perhaps I outta start listening again."
