I shouldn't get my hopes up anymore,
when everytime I do,
you take them and crush them into dust for me to put back together so you can do it all over again.
I just wanted to be loved by you and only you.
I just wanted you to love me and only me,
was that too much to ask?
Was I not good enough for you to love?
You meant the world to me,
but I was a star miles and miles away,
that you could only love from a distance for so long.
We both knew we weren't forever
but it could've been longer
and all I wanted was for you to only love me.
