Maya had returned home at the end of her working day, after just over two weeks of seeing her fiancée in Catania, for a trip as unexpected as it was intense.
Carina would be home in four days, and she was more than impatient.

The last time she'd heard from her fiancée, she'd been ill, so she figured she'd let her rest and wait for her to get back to her first, since she knew her future wife, Carina hadn't slept with her phone on silent for five weeks, so as not to miss any messages or calls from her.

No sooner had she passed through the apartment door, than she headed for the dining room table where her plan was laid out.

Carina would be landing in Seattle at 11:30 a.m. on April 4. She would have to collect her suitcase, go through security, maybe even customs. Maya had counted on an hour and a half, hoping there would be no flight delays.

She had it on good authority that her fiancée had taken advantage of her time in Catania «alone» to find herself a wedding outfit. Thank you, Taryn.

Then Carina would probably want to stop off for a shower, which left plenty of time for whatever she had planned next.

Maya just hoped the surprise would please the Italian. She figured she'd probably want to help her organize their wedding ceremony, but the blonde had promised her that night in Sicily that they'd get married as soon as they got back to Seattle, and she intended to surprise her with this wedding ceremony on her return day.

Everyone had been warned weeks in advance, as soon as Carina had received confirmation that she would have her Visa validated on that date and her return plane ticket.

She reviewed the details whenever she was at home and not talking to her fiancée. She sometimes found it hard to avoid the table when they were on visiocall and, on top of that, it drove her crazy that her apartment wasn't constantly tidy and that all those post-it notes and plans were on the table, but it was only a matter of time now and, on top of that, what was «lying around» on the table was really worth it.

-"So... she's arriving at eleven-thirty... I hope there won't be a flight delay... oh! Or worse a cancellation... I didn't think of cancellation in my plan! Crap! No, there won't be any cancellations... even though we're jinxed...

Maya stays positive!

Well, she's on her way. The other one still has to do its maneuvers and roll through Seattle ... why does it always seem that the runway is three thousand kilometers from the gate...

now is not the time to think about that.

Sooo! Where was I... ah yes she's landing... finally"
she had a huge smile on her face.

"So she goes through customs, security, whatever she wants... she gets her suitcase back... or the other way around... and there... I'm waiting for her in that damn terminal with my sign."

She had hand on sign «Future Madame DeLuca-Bishop».

"She jumps on my neck... it couldn't be any other way and I kiss her, until her knees buckle...

I want to kiss her...

Maya! Concentrate!

So I kiss her... again and again... I should have added ten minutes to this schedule to kiss her...

stay focused! Let's skip the kiss...

So we go to the car and come back here, she'll want to shower, I know her. And while she's in the shower ... I'm looking for her wedding outfit... wait she might not understand that I'm not coming to the shower with her... shit ... why can't I think of anything more logical than that today!
