Carina and Maya had been married for fourteen months.
They had finally moved into a house for their one-year wedding anniversary.

/Flashback/

After their first New Year as newlyweds, Maya and Carina were in their apartment, sitting on the sofa, chatting.

- "bambina?"

- "yes my love?"

- "a year ago we spent our first new year and after our engagement and a lot of things happened during these vacations..."

- "yes"

- "and you told me a lot of things"

-"...yes"

- "and since we've been home, I can't help imagining the thirteen years you've lived in this apartment... and... That night... I know you have fond memories and that you and Andy lived here... But I think it's time we bought a home of our own, a real home that we've both chosen."

- "you want us to buy-"

- "a house. I want a house, with you."

- "and-"

- "a pool table. I want a pool table"

Maya had smiled.

"Cosà? I wouldn't derogate from that idea, I love billiards."

- "and I love watching you play pool... so do we need to look for a house?"

- "Yes, please. One not too far from the firehouse."

- "why?"

- "because if one day there's a problem, if there's a level four or five alarm fire... I want you to be able to get to your team quickly."

- "and you traffic for work?"

-"Seattle isn't that big, bambina... It's only ten minutes from your barracks to my work... And you said it yourself, maybe at some point I'll get back to my first love."

- "like with me?"

- "like with you" Carina replied, coming over to kiss her.

/End of flashback/

- "bambinaaaa" called Carina from their bedroom.

The blonde had arrived. She was in a sleeveless t-shirt and shorts.

- "yes?"

The Italian's eyes had fallen on her body and she'd bitten her lip.

Maya had paint stains on her arms, a streak on her jaw and her clothes were full of stains of different colors.

"Amore?" Asked the blonde when she saw that her wife was no longer answering.

- "I know I keep insisting on getting painters to do the inside of the house.... But there's a definite advantage to having you paint the house... You're too sexy"

- "Did you call me to tell me how sexy I am?"

- "basic no.... But I almost forget the reason when I see you..."

- "Focus," replied the blonde, stepping forward and putting her fingers under her chin to make her lift her head.

-"If you think I'm less attracted to your face than your body, you've got it all wrong."

- "amore..."

- "I wanted you to give me your opinion. Should I take the black suit or the burgundy one for my presentation in New York?"

- "did you call me here to remind me that you were leaving me for three days?"

- "bambina!!!"

- "the burgundy... You look gorgeous whatever you're wearing, but if I'm not here, I'd rather you didn't wear the black, it looks too much like the-" the brunette had put her index finger to her lips to stop her.
