After the second series of photos, Maya and Carina climbed into their limousine alone to head for the reception hall.
The Italian was out of breath, a huge smile on her face.
-"Are you all right, my love?"
-"This is one of the happiest days of my life. I can't say the most beautiful, because that would hurt my mom's heart, but Maya, you've made this day, a perfect moment..." she had come to kiss her. "...and if you only knew how much I love you..."
- "and it's not over, my love" Maya replied just before their lips touched.
The Italian had quickly intensified their kiss but the blonde had slowed her down.
-"I love you Carina, there's only ever been you in my heart. No one else has ever counted the way you do. No girl in the world could ever fill my heart like you. No girl in the world can make me happy. I'll do everything so that you never, not for a single second, have to regret your life with me."
-"That could never happen"
They had arrived at Axis Pioneer Square almost at the same time as the sun had set in the sky. Long white sheets had been laid in front of the bay window, but they could already see dark red light shining against the linen to illuminate the interior of the reception hall.
Everyone seemed to be waiting for them inside, while Andrea and Mason were outside watching their arrival, the driver having made a long detour on purpose.
The driver had come to open the door and Andrew had come to take his sister's hand to help her out of the car, then Mase did the same with his.
Carina had turned to her wife and laughed.
"I'm sorry, Bambina," she'd reached over and wiped the underside of the American's mouth with her thumb, wiping away the trace of lipstick she'd spilled.
She hadn't known what to do with the red on her thumb and had then smeared it on the white handkerchief peeking out of her brother's suit pocket, indignantly but making Maya and Mase laugh.
They both kissed their sister and walked past to let them know they'd arrived.
They finally entered the room to You're The One That I Want by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.
Everyone broke into applause, and they danced their way back into the room. They entered through the dancefloor part of the room. When they arrived in the middle, the blonde took the brunette in her arms and kissed her, causing some of their guests to whistle.
They were then the first to move on to the tables.
Their table was rectangular at the end of the room, facing all the round tables.
On this table were four seats. Theirs and their best man's. The tables were decorated with white lilies and red roses, and a photo of Charlie.
All the other tables were round, seating six to eight people.
They weren't many, but the people who mattered were there.-"Do you want to throw your bouquet or keep it?"
- "I want to keep it... and I want to keep yours too"
- "so I was right to take two small bouquets to throw?"
- "you're perfect"
They were off with the unmarried and unengaged to throw their bouquets. The backyard was lit by lanterns and the place was beautiful with greenery.
The photographer had set up and Carina had been the first to throw her bouquet, which had been caught by Travis.
Then Maya had thrown hers and Jo had caught her bouquet, turning Andrew a little white.
